28 of us visited and 26 stayed for a big family party- plenty of space and half the rooms have amazing sea views. There are 2 huge family suites with bay windows, ideal for 4 people. Large garden going down to the sea (better for a summer party than bonfire night!). Big old building, I was worried it would be... More

We felt very welcomed the minute we arrived to the Marine Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our whole staying. The view is to die for, decoration of the hotel itself kept in artistic and good, old fashion style. Certainly great value for money !

we fled and stayed at the golf hotel in town. Location of the marine is superb, needs work and rennovation to feel comfortable.. Innkeeper was inebriated when he showed us the room and very drunk later that night. This is a real pity for him. We cannot recommend this establishment based on our experience.

Just returned from a 4 day break and will be my first choice when return to the area again. We had an outstanding family room, overlooking the sea and waking up to that view every morning was wonderful. The dining area overlooking the garden is lovely also and the breakfast choices were many and varied, with a selection to suit... More

Straightforward, simple, friendly both times on civilian business. 2 years ago, and also: just back from too short a stay.Beautiful location. Lovely people. If you want corporate image, frills, interchangeable staff with black outfits and no personality:look elsewhither. If you want to know the real folk of the area, this is the place.

I chose this hotel for the sea views. Morgan, the elusive and eccentric owner, provided a lovely ensuite room with excellent views out to sea. It is something to wake up to that view. Panoramic horizon and seagulls calling. You can hear the not-so-distant waves on the shore as you snooze. Very peaceful. I thought my room was clean, warm... More

Stumbled onto a gem of a place on Halloween!. Came into Crail late and spotted the Marine Hotel and met Morgan the owner, he provided a beautiful view of the water from a wonderful suite. We were invited to a Halloween party and had a terrific time meeting the locals and trick or treaters! Will be a place to plan... More

Hotel was lovely, nice rooms with beautiful view. The garden is fantastic and looks over the sea, gorgeous on a sunny day. We were made to feel most welcome by Morgan, and have booked our second visit before leaving. Lovely breakfast with great choice of food available. We were really happy we chose to stay at the Marine Hotel :)

We discovered this quirky hotel as we were travelling through Crail on the east coast of Scotland. It is purely B&B, no lunches, no dinners, no Bar. The room on the first floor had an amazing sea view and was great for the two of us. You need to bring in your own drinks (beer etc), however bring a bottle... More
