Phoned to book table at restaurant open to non residents Food freshly cooked and very nice but more expensive than other places and decor but dated Does offers Oct 25% offmon tue wed Good service and easily walkable from caravan park outside beer garden
On our first night a chair in the lounge collapsed under a guest and no apology or concern from any staff. Room was straight out of the 70s, bright green bathroom suite and bed was almost camp bed size. ‘Wardrobe for 2 persons was about a foot and a half wide, No door on. ‘Tv’ was a laptop size screen on the wall, cables hanging down to floor level and no picture whatsoever. We ordered a drink but were told we needed to go outside to drink because the tables were booked (non residents I assumed). All in all a horrible experience.
We stopped off for tea. Staff were very polite and service was excellent. Food was clearly freshly prepared and very tasty. Think it may be slightly more expensive than other places so worth checking the menu but food was good. Excellent thorough provision for Covid - correct protocol clearly followed.
We were visiting friends in the Crail Caravan Park so we stayed in the BAL just after it re-opened after lockdown. We realised there would be restrictions and that the staff had to adhere to current regulations, so our expectations weren't too high. Top of our list is always a clean and comfortable bedroom and that the toilet and shower area are both cleaned to a high standard especially at this time. We were delighted that this was the case with the added bonus of a beautiful sea view. We also had tea/coffee making facilities in the room which we didn't think would be available. The cooked breakfasts in the morning were superb and provided a great start to each day. The bar meals are also excellent with a great selection. Comfortable, clean, great food and service, a stunning view in an ideal location - What more can you ask for? We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the BAL and it provided a much welcome respite from the current global situation.…
Stayed a couple of nights while visiting Crail and surrounding course. Great old Scottish B&B with pub, restaurant, parking, and wifi. Very friendly owner and staff well managed hotel. Food and pub were excellent and open later for late arrivals or afternoon t times. Would definitely stay again while visiting Crail area.
