The Crusoe Hotel reflects the life of Alexander Selkirk whose life experience became the Daniel Defoe novel Robinson Crusoe. The decor, in particular, the dining room, has an old nautical theme. The rooms, although small, overlook the Firth of Forth and are comfortabe, The food served were of local produce and of high quality. A hotel wort a repeat visit.

Just spent the weekend at The Crusoe Hotel and it was excellent. We were a party of 16 on a weekend away for a football match in Cowdenbeath. No complaints on the accommodation, all the rooms were clean and comfortable, especially those with views across the Forth. Now to the food, we were on a D,B&B basis and I have...

First time staying in the Crusoe although we have had many lunches and dinners over the years. Highly recommend it. We had our two dogs with us and were given a suite which suited us perfectly. Food was great and atmosphere fab as usual. Cant wait to stay again.

Was very quiet when we arrived, so service was quick and efficient. Three of us had fish and chips with mushy peas, all were very good - lovely batter on the fish. Have been visiting the Crusoe for years, and are never disappointed with the quality of food and service.

This three star small hotel is right on the fife coastal route. Great staff, great location. I would definitely recommend upgrading to a sea view as when tide is in looks like you are on a cruise ship. Having booked a two night stay we were certainly not disappointed. Our plus one was our dog and he was made to...

Booked three nights and paid for an upgrade to a sea view. The room was lovely and spacious and spotless. The sea view was amazing. It was right below our window and you could hear the waves all night. Just amazing. Breakfast was great. Variety of fruit juices, cereal and fruit. Eggs Benedict, full English, salmon and scrambled eggs, kippers...

Nice clean sea view room, good food for both dinner and breakfast, friendly helpful service from staff in the hotel and the restaurant. Would definitely go back again and would recommend to others. Worth paying a little more for a sea view room.
