We booked the Blackwaterfoot Lodge online and though it looked cosy, we didn't realise just how charming it was. The room was very comfortable, clean, everything we needed was included. Breakfast was tasty (cereal and fruit, homemade marmalade, cooked Scottish brekkie).

We arrived after a very long day's hiking on the Arran Coastal Way to find the restaurant closed. :-( But the lovely Anne had already made a reservation for us at the nearby hotel -- knowing that it would be busy. Thoughtful and wonderful.
