Booked in for the Easter weekend with a friend. Our room was very comfortable and enormous and our request to be near the lounge area was granted. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly - they must have sized us up immediately, since they quickly informed us of the rugby sevens tournament the next day which was a great piece...

We wound up eating three meals at the hotel despite only staying one night, which is testament to how attractive the food was. Very tasty - and decent wine to go with dinner too. In terms of cost, for dinner, bed and breakfast the cost was £200. Dinner meant £20 per person towards the cost of dinner, rather than the...

This was our second stay at the Douglas. We had had such a wonderful stay in October that we decided to return for the Easter weekend. The hotel is beautifully appointed and extrenely comfortable. The bar is often busy, as I would expect as it's a lovely spot for a drink, and has a warm atmosphere. We ate in both...

My partner and I have stayed at the Douglas twice now and have had a brilliant time on both occasions. The staff are excellent, the food is very good and the rooms are comfortable and extremely well appointed. We cannot recommend the Douglas highly enough. We hope to return soon.

Stayed for Easter weekend. Fantastic hotel with lovely rooms. The staff are all very friendly and can't do enough for you. Had a meal on Saturday night in the restaurant. Food was excellent and again the staff were great. Will definitely stay here again.

We stayed in Banner Lodge, a short walk from the Hotel and a perfect space for our family - we had the luxury of the hotel (fleecy robes and slippers, Netflix, wi-fi, Arran Aromatics soap, homemade short-bread) and the comfort/privacy of our own space. We had dinner B&B, the food was great - highly recommend the venison and enjoyed relaxing...

This was our second visit to the hotel .Our room was overlooking the bay and was large and comfortable and very suitable for my husband who is disabled. The staff were very helpful and always pleasant. Although the weather was mixed we enjoyed a comfortable relaxed break.

Stayed 2 nights in room 208, which is a quiet room to the rear of the hotel. Its full-height picture window overlooks a pretty garden but it's not got the show-biz sea and mountain views enjoyed by other rooms. The window is also recessed so the majority of the room is a bit dark. Fortunately this can be easily overcome...

Spent a gorgeous weekend in the best weather we'd had so far this year in The Douglas Hotel's Goatfell Suite as a Birthday treat from my partner. The pics on the hotels website don't do it justice as it's a truly stunning, spacious and tastefully decorated room with one of the best views I've ever seen from a hotel room....

I booked the Goatfell Suite as a Birthday treat and was not disappointed as it is simply stunning with spectacular views over Brodick Bay towards the castle and Goatfell. We had rare glorious spring weather to enjoy such panoramic scenery even more. We arrived just before 2pm (the ferry was running late) and expected to drop off our luggage and...
