We stayed in the McLaren hotel in June with a group of 18 girls for my hen weekend. My sister had booked the whole thing so I didn't know where we were staying. As soon as we arrived we were met at the door by the owner who gave us such a warm welcome. She checked all 18 of us...

Just had a lovely weekend here, Management and staff bent over backwards to help guests. Stayed in room 2, absolutely beautiful. Definitely going back soon. Was here with a group of 30+ adults for an organised weekend, everyone was full of praise for the hotel staff. Hotel is basic but lovely. Food is delicious and staff provided the best of...

The Hotel was perfect for what we used it for, accommodation for a large group on a field trip. There are a number of single, double and bunk rooms. I stayed in a single room, which was very spacious and I believe that all rooms have en suite facilities. The en suite had a shower, toilet and sink, it wasn't...

My wife and two kids 4 and 7 stayed here last week for 5 days. We were slightly concerned before hand as there were a couple of poor reviews about the hotel, not letting this put us off (as we know from experience some of the morons who leave bad reviews on this site complain about everything) we had a...

We stayed here in June 2013 after coming over on the ferry from Ardrossan. The room was comfortable, although basic and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to keep our bicycles in a room at the back of the hotel which was great - but we then saw the very untidy state of the hotel at the...
