I phoned from the ferry looking for a single room in Brodick. Hilary did say to me that they have no singles but I could have a room for £80. I decided to splash out and book it. Hilary is a wonderful hostess, at breakfast she offered me poached salmon, kippers or smoked haddock (which I had with poached eggs...

We stayed here for a night as a last minute thing as the Auchrannie was booked out. The only room available was a standard double at £80, which was clean and had a fridge and coffee facilities. Hilary and Ricardo were lovely and we felt very welcome. However the breakfast wasn't great quality; cheap bread, cheap looking square sausage, no...

We stayed at the Invercloy Hotel three nights and had a wonderful visit. It is clean and comfortable. The lounge for guests was great and had a lovely view of Goat Fell. Hilary could not have been a better host. She went above and beyond the call of duty when I needed to see a doctor and she offered to...

We stayed at the Invercloy for two nights at the beginning and one night at the end of our around-the-island walking tour. Hilary and Ricardo were our hosts and they serve a mean breakfast. (Porridge with Scotch and honey is an unusual feature.) Hilary very helpfully took one of our members to the hospital to check a wrenched foot. The...

I will start by describing how my girlfriend and I arrived at this most perfect of guesthouses. We arranged a trip from the Isle of Man to Isle of Arran at only two days notice. On finding (understandably) limited availability, we booked into the only accommodation available online, the Shorehouse. Rather than being shown a double bed as advertised, we...

We found the Invercloy Hotel through Google Street View and what a find it was. The welcome was warm and genuine and the room was spotless. Hilary and Ricardo were excellent hosts and breakfast was lovely with a large choice. Hilary recommended several places to eat in the evening and the one that we chose was amazing. We were shown...

We stayed for 2 nights and felt very well looked after by Hilary and Ricardo, who were always happy to give advice. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the breakfasts very good. The view of Goat Fell is fantastic.

Fantastic little b&b with incredible views of the bay. Highly recommend the deluxe rooms with 4 poster beds and own balconies. Lovely way to watch the sun go down! The owner is really friendly and cooks a mean breakfast!
