Just back from visiting this hotel with a group of friends. The hotel was spotless and the food was excellent. Owner and staff very friendly and helpful. We had an excellent meal in the bar which was reasonably priced and has entertainment on some nights. It was about 5 minutes drive from the ferry so was convenient as well. We... More

We spent a couple of nights here at the end of September and held a party there on the Saturday night, as a surprise Birthday for my Dad. The manager Laura was very friendly, thorough and accommodating in both communications in the run up to our stay and on the weekend / night itself and went over and above to... More

Return visit here after many years and rather sad to see how tired the old place is looking - cobwebs and flaking paint around the entry and other public areas really unforgivable. The rooms, while basic, were OK and the bar was a convivial place while the folk singing was going on. Good breakfast and good bar meals. Noisy in... More

A good hotel about a 20 minute walk from the ferry in Brodick they had good beer and food good pub quizzes were a good laugh the staff go out of there way to make you feel welcome it's also the place where the local island people drink but they make you feel welcome from the outset

First night on Arran. Went to ormidale hotel for a evening meal. Good home cooked food and enough to fill up most people. Staff friendly and the Guinness is good. Was here last year and enjoyed the banter with the locals while the rugby world cup was on.

Excellent place Small Pub/hotel with lovely grounds, very dog friendly and a great bar presided over by a genial host and offering a range of draft ales including two from the Arran Brewery, apparently the only place in Brodick to stock these. Great garden for smokers and an enclosure. This is a popular hostelry for visitors and local alike and... More

Spent 3 nights in this hotel recently. The single bedroom I had was quite hot due to a boiler or something being behind the wall and it was above where the entertainment is, so could be a bit noisy with the music in the pub. But apart from that the rooms were clean (except the Windows), the duvet/pillows/towels were spotless... More

Stayed here for four nights and had a lovely relaxing time. Food good, staff friendly, rooms clean and beautiful surroundings. The locals use this hotel and we found everyone very friendly. Entertainment on every night and we haven't laughed so much, mainly at ourselves. Would highly recommend this hotel although it can be quite noisy, but we were informed of... More
