Only here for dinner for 4 on this occasion. We had fish and chips, very fresh and homemade chips. The Macaroni and cheese was also given a thumbs up as was the Sea Bass. Good service, staff were very helpful especially Jenny who gave me a sample of beer so I could decide if I wanted a pint of it.

I was visiting friends in Forres and we booked in for a meal. The service was excellent, the party of 3 had a GF and a veggie but we were all catered for. The portions were huge and we all had a really enjoyable meal. Would defo recommend for a relaxed, well catered for and attentive service

Lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings. We went for a meal. Staff friendly and attentive Food was very good for most of us but for vegetarian there was very little choice and no imagination. Disappointed but I’m sure it’s something that will be improved on.

Thank you for your feedback. We are reviewing the menu, which dates post-pandemic on first opening back up. We do need to expand as volumes increase and thank you for your kind comments.

An old fashioned hotel and the better for it. The staff were cheerful, helpful and attentive. The room was large with a comfortable double bed overlooking the lawns to the front. It was quiet and well appointed. The shower was average otherwise it would have been a 5* review. An amazing cooked breakfast and my flask was filled with coffee for the day. I ate an evening meal for my 3 nights. The meals were in the bar area, a nice atmosphere. Each meal was a delight and cost less than £45 including drinks. The hotel was only 6 miles from the fishing beats. Definitely will be staying again

Thank you so much for your lovely review, which is honestly the shared view of the vast majority of people we check out, that we do deliver a warm, friendly, welcoming service. Regarding the shower, Scottish Water have adjusted the pressure nearby rather than replace old pipes, meaning at peak time it can be less than usual. Thank you for letting us know.

The service and staff are superb. Nothing is too much trouble, and they are friendly and efficient. The food is very good, with generous portions and good quality. The breakfasts are great, and we particularly liked the very special loose leaf tea. We had a superior room, with views overlooking the beautiful garden and Nelson’s Tower. We enjoyed our room and spent plenty of time relaxing in comfortable chairs enjoying the view. The bed was huge, and very comfortable. Throughly recommended.

Thank you so much for your kind words, which are honestly the views of the vast majority of our guests, that we do have attention to detail and our bespoke hand-selected loose leaf tea is indeed hand-picked and a Ramnee secret. We do recommend superior rooms for lounging, but all our rooms are quiet and comfortable. We hope to see you again some time.
