Stayed at the cottage behind the B&B we dive the islands and it was the perfect setup marina close by to berth the boat and the cottage was an excellent base for us to stay at a reasonable price. Louise was very helpful and we will certainly be back again.

Louise, the owner, welcomed me for my 2 day stay in Largs, and for £30, I was given the 'attic' room (number 5) that has 4 beds (1 double, and 2 singles, with an ensuite bathroom too) - You can't beat that value! The shower had good pressure, and the bed was comfortable and the sheets clean. There were a...

Very homely visit, we stayed here when we were at Inverclyde. The guys had 2 rooms and a lft area which was huge and had a great ensuit. The rooms were big and roomy with Sky Hd what more do you need. The two rooms did not have ensuit which is not a problem as the two toilets are huge...

We have recently stayed at the Rutland Guest House and it was brilliant. The lady who runs the Rutland was fantastic. Nothing was a problem which was great for us because we were working and we had timescales to meet. I would definately stay there in the future. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was delicious. The seafront was...

Don't expect an on suite, its a Shared bathroom just down the corridor. The place is over all grubby, very dusty black mould all around the shower base. Don't drink out of the glasses provided full of lip stick. This place good do with a deep clean. Good points-- cheap £22 / night including breakfast and good walking distance to...

I have stayed at the Rutland twice with groups who were up for diving. The welcome is very warm. I particularly liked the fact that our drysuits were whisked away when we arrived in the evening and were handed back to us dry the next morning. (Ideal when coldwater diving). The accommodation is warm, beds comfortable and lots of hotwater....

Louise was very welcoming from the moment we arrived. We were in town for a family wedding and she helped out with taxis and other info. Very helpfull. Right down to when our car key broke and she called her local garage and got us the advice we needed. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

This is a fine Guest House, run by a very nice, friendly landlady (I didn't get to meet the landlord). I was looking for some accomodation in a bit of a rush, having just arrived in Scotland and my initial plans having fallen through, and she saved my life by welcoming me in despite her initial reservations given the late...

Not much too say other than I have been travelling quite often to Scotland - and Largs in particular for the past 6 years and Rutland Guest House has been the only place where I have been staying. Comfy, British-style, a good breakfast and Louise (owner) is the nicest of women. Definitely a place I recommend.
