Julie is one of the best hostesses I have had. Nothing was too much and she was great as we arrived late and did not arrive until approx. 10:00pm. She was very welcoming and the B&B is very well appointed. The twin room was the biggest I have stayed in and the shower was a good size. The B&B has...

Sheila and her husband (who's name I have forgotten) were most warm to me, welcoming and comforting. The breakfast was superb, I mean really really great. Coffee too :). Would visit again in a heartbeat. Can't wait to take my girlfriend there.

I have just ended what is possibly my 30th visit to Kenila. Arguably that in itself should require nothing else, however from my very first visit I was made to feel part of the family. Sheila is a very welcoming hostess and nothing seems to be too much trouble. The rooms are clean and the food is outstanding. I will...

This wonderful B&B is ideal if you're planning to explore the neolithic sites on Western mainland. Our hostess Sheila has always been very helpful and made us feel welcome from the first minute to the last. There was plenty of space, a sitting room and an abundance of information. Each item on the brakfast menu was a treat and gave...

Sheila was a great hostess who made us feel really welcome, offering great Orcadian hospitality. The breakfasts were superb and always at our convenience. I had a single room with en suite shower room. The bed was really comfortable and I had a lovely view onto Loch of Harray. There was loads of really useful local information in the breakfast...

Our second time at Kenila was just as good as the first - in other words it was excellent! Sheila was a wonderful host, friendly and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble for her. We loved the cooked breakfasts (particularly the salmon and scrambled egg option). Our room was really comfortable and attractively laid out and had lovely views...

Kenila is ideally situated for exploring West and North Mainland. Our room was quiet, comfortable and clean. Our hostess was very helpful and friendly, as well as being a good cook. The breakfasts were excellent and she was concerned to give us accurate advice about where to eat and where to park. The range of information leaflets and maps was...

Had a super short stay at Kenila. Sheila is very welcoming and friendly which is always a great start to a stay. My room was very comfy although a tad airless as there's only a small vent at the top but it wasn't a big problem. The separate bathroom was nice too. The breakfasts were AMAZING!! I absolutely loved the...

Very good stay. Lovely host :) located ideally (middle between two main cities of orkney and close of attractions such as scara brae or maeshowe). Good food with local products. Recommend to any one. Only advice : look for clear indication before to go as using only the postcode (on the gps or for google) will get you lost.

Third stay at this delightful B & B in the countryside about 20 minutes from Kirkwall or Stromness on the side of Loch Harray. Lovely welcome on every visit and this time had a room with a view over the loch - delightful. The breakfasts are the best I have enjoyed in a B & B anywhere in the UK....
