The hotel was very accommodating as we had to change the booking at the last minute due to a bereavement in the family. All the staff were warm and welcoming. The hotel is located in the picturesque village of St Fillans right on the shore of Loch Earn. Is a great place for anyone who likes a walk in the... More

We stayed in November 2016 for one evening when there was a wine tasting evening and 5 course meal. The food and wine were absolutely first class, staff attentive and pleasant, atmosphere lovely and relaxed. We stayed in the hotel and had a beautiful view of the loch which was absolutely stunning. Bedrooms are a slightly dated and could do... More

The views of the loch from this hotel are fantastic. And the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had two fantastic evening meals in the hotel restaurant which also has a great view of the loch. Although we enjoyed our room very much, the decor was tired and I was disappointed with the comfort of the mattress.

Arrived in the crisp autumn sunshine to fabulous views of Loch Earn, and the snow covered hills! We were greeted with a very warm welcome from staff at reception to be given our key to Chalet 6 (where John & Paul stayed in October 1964) (George and Ringo stayed in Chalet 1) and a copy of the Beatles in Scotland... Hotel is in a great location, with great views across the Loch. Received a warm welcome at check-in, which continued throughout our stay. Chalet was ideal with having a dog, with great local walks. Food in the restaurant was fantastic, it showed that the Chef cared about the food & the presentation. The waitresses always welcomed you with a smile... More

Very accommodating, move rooms due to my wife's back problem Staff were excellent Despite coming near the end for season, the food was to a high standard. The problem with a 3 day stay is you tend to work your way through the set menus Would have loved smoked haddock for breakfast and more fish options on the menu, especially... More

……….” Still a very pleasant experience and worth a return visit!”……….Many thanks for taking the time to review. I find it a touch obscure that you did not choose from the extensive a la carte menu available in both restaurants, though you can look forward to this on your next visit…… More

A great location in the Loch Lommond & Trossachs National Park and on the side of Loch Earn, with views overlooking the loch. Great for walking in the glens and up mountains. A very warm welcome from the friendly staff. Large, comfortable bedrooms; a series of extensive lounges, all with open wood fires (perfect for cold evenings). Extensive, freshly cooked... More

We have stayed here on numerous occasions, and each time "The Four Seasons" seems to outdo itself. The staff are friendly and faultless, and the food is second to none. (We ate at both the Tarken Bistro, and the main restaurant) Top marks, once again to Andrew and his team.

We stayed on a Saturday night and had the four course dinner, plus bed and breakfast for two for £175. The food in this hotel is superb and the rooms are very comfortable. We also enjoyed drinks in the cosy bar, sitting next to a wonderful peat/log fire. Shame we had to leave!

The Tarken Bistro offers the same standard of cuisine in a more informal setting, providing light lunches, blackboard specials and suppers. A range of fine wines, champagne and whisky are available; enjoy a cool glass of Chablis on a summer's evening or malt by the warmth of the log fire in autumn!
