Stopped here hungry having found nothing open in the afternoon for the last hour or so travelling up north. First impressions weren't great - a local boozer with resident bar flies. Would probably have gone on if we thought there was more to choose from. However, a very friendly, albeit pushed with three-customers-at-once-needing- served barman took our order. Local beer...

A few days away with no kids decided on doing Scotland version of Route 66. Stayed at The Eagle Hotel the first night. Check in was no problem and our room was lovely, looked newly refurbished. Had dinner which was lovely, good choice of food on menu and quality was super. Three courses each and two drinks each for £54!!...

We just stopped here for refreshments after a very pleasant walk from Dornoch to Embo and back along the beach. Great weather for the 8th of January. As soon as we walked through the door I knew this was a good place. Very cheerful and friendly landlord. Excellent beer and one of the tastiest bowls of broccoli soup I've had...

My sister, her children and my mother went for a meal in this establishment. Service was nothing to write home about. The worst thing about this meal was the fact that my niece, who ordered the chicken tikka found a large peice of glass in her food. She only found this from taking a mouthful and having the glass CUT...

We had a pub lunch here last Sunday. Friendly welcome and efficient and polite waiter service. The food was excellent. Two pork chops with black pudding mash, one Scampi and one Curry followed by Malteser cheesecake for all. A good selection of local ales and beers in what appeared to be a busy bar.

We had dinner here in August. Service was very good. Helpful staff and pleasant welcome at booking earlier in the day and on arrival. Really nice atmosphere. Restaurant is much smarter than we remembered after a revamp. We would have like to have seen more local fair on the menu. Missed the neeps and tatties, felt the menu was a...

We didn't know about this place beforehand, but driving through Dornoch we needed lunch. I walked in, saw the place was very busy and asked if we could eat. The young man at the bar answered "Of course you can!" and immediately seated us. Just as quickly we had a friendly waitress serve us. The food was wonderful. We asked...

The Walls in the rooms seem to be paper thin and let in all the noise from other rooms and the floorboards are extremely squeaky. The beds are ok and the bathroom does the job. Wifi is no where to be found at any time of the day. The breakfast was ok and the service good.
