Good food, home made by the resident chef, excellent hand pulled beer and staff who went that extra mile even when busy. Definately going to come here again. Stupid review box says I need to write more but I'm trying to watch footy and enjoy my real ale in the eagle, so this bit is woffle and padding!

Arrived after an 8 hour drive to find out there was a disco till 12.30. Nothing we could do to change that but annoyingly the noise from leaving customers at 2a.m was awful. The room beside us was loud too. Terrible sleep. Not impressive breakfast as it claims on the website, sausages weren't good. On departure, we expressed our opinion... More

Thank you for taking the time to share your views on Trip Advisor. I note your comments regarding the noise outside and unfortunately there is little that can be done once the customers have left our premises, we do ask all customers to respect the area and our neighbours by keeping the noise to a minimum when leaving the premises.... We came here last week from Inverness for a drink and something to eat. The pub has had a make over since we last were here, which was all well and good. The only impressions we left with were, that the place could be alot cleaner, particularly the toilets, which didn't look cleaned for quite sometime. The toilet roll dispensers... More

Stayed Thursday to Monday. Room clean and well appointed. Food very good and plentiful and staff very friendly. Only issue was loud music Fri & Sat nights until 12.30 which kept us awake as our room was right above bar. Their website does mention live music at weekends but it was pretty loud. Would not put us off going back,... More
