Very basic but decent and clean. Friendly welcome but don't expect to get breakfast on site. The village is only a short walk away for supplies. Well stocked supermarket attached to the garage. On site bar/restaurant has good, if unimaginative, pub grub. Be warned if you need wi-fi. There's no internet and I couldn't even get a phone signal in...

I stayed here for 1 night . The accomodation is basic clean and new .However as all the doors to the rooms have door closers all you heard all night was doors of other rooms slamming and you could just about hear conversations of the people in the room next door due to the thinness of the walls .

Room - very warm due to underfloor heating, but nevertheless cosy and pleasant. Staff very nice, plenty of parking, a nice bar and no noise or annoyances - some bikers around but no problem whatsoever!

Seems like the owners skimped when building this place. It is relatively new but the bathroom doors are askew, broken flour tile, the shower mats were moldy, bunk bed falling apart. No place for 'dry food'storage in kitchen area...not a good idea to keep food in bedrooms. Poor wi fi. Pluses: friendly staff, location is close to the locks on...

Aupon arrival at the campsite, it seems like a well looked after place, not the case, toilets and showers disgustingly, there is a sign up saying closed between 11-1230 for cleaning, they are mostly definitely not clean! The sink/wash area is high work tops and not child friendly. The staff are extremely rude! Some of the facilities aren't working. Over...

We arrived in Fort Augustus and booked in to Stravaigers, the reception staff were friendly, the twin room was absolutely fine for what we needed, a place to sleep, the showers were fine, plenty warm water, only fault is the floor was very slippy so be careful, the bar was nice, again, very friendly staff, we didn't eat here but...

Having reviewed the camping ground at thissite previously I thought it would be apt to say a few words about the hostel lodge here, the recently opened Stravaigers lodge backs on to the campsite and is ideal for those of you like me who are getting a little to old and stiff for camping , specially in scotlands unpredictable weather...

Again more Scottish hospitality, friendly greeting and very helpful. The beds were comfy, although it's not ensuite, the bathrooms were heated all day with under floor heading so it was great on my hiking ravaged feet, and they're was hot water which is all I had dreamt about during the snow storm on the mountains! The attached restaurant did good...

This was our 4th visit here and yet again a good clean friendly service, rooms are very basic but clean, the toilet and shower block is clean on arrival but could be cleaned more regularly, as there are two of us sharing a room and if you include breakfast into the price i wouldn't consider this a cheaper option than...

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this site. In 2014 we camped on Cumberland's Campsite and this year we returned and stayed in their Hostel Stravaiger's Lodge. Last July we camped there, extending our stay as the Campsite was so good. At that time the 'hostel' building was not finished but the onsite Restaurant and Bar was...
