Me and some other guys visit Scotland on a yearly basis for about the last 6 years, usually a bit further south. So in order to visit the North West, we had to move base. In this case to the Fort Augustus Chalet park, which is run by a lovely lady called Julie. As we were on motorbikes getting food... More

This is our second visit to this chalet park for a 3 night stay. Its tranquil yet convenient setting is next to the Caledonian canal and very close to the centre of Fort Augustus - and yet it feels like you could be miles from anywhere. The area is absolutely stunning, a perfect place to unwind and take in the... More

Well, what can I say. This was my third visit with a bit of a difference this time. The venue was so busy, I stayed in the chalet park for 5 days and the last two in Julie and Clive's B&B. This location is perfect for people like myself who has 3 dogs. Don't be put off by me saying... More

The setting is idyllic as others have said, however as we arrived at the site the broken down name sign did not bode well, and things only got worse, the cabins seem to have been a work in progress for quite some time and the landscaped areas need desperate attention, however, that said when we entered the one bedroom cabin... We have just stayed at the Fort Augustus Chalet Park for the second time over Christmas. Not normally open to anyone, but there was a special reason, which can't be repeated for anyone else. We had the park all to ourselves which was great as our 3 dogs enjoyed the freedom that the space provided and were continually checking the... More

My friend and I stayed at the Fort Augustus Chalet Park for 3 nights the owners (Clive & Julie) collected us car as we had no transport. When Clive picked us up, he stopped to let us get some shopping for our stay, which was very much appreciated after a long day travelling. He also gave us a brief but... More

No-one appears to have written a review for a while so wanted to say that the Fort Augustus Chalet Park is an ideal place to relax in its tranquil setting. It is a small park of wooden-clad chalets hidden just off the Caledonian canal a few minutes walk from the main canal locks and Loch Ness area. An ideal base... More

“No Wifi yet, but Julie and Clive have wifi at the B&B that they own/live in 50 metres away from the chalet park if you really need to have wifi access. Why anyone would want contact with the outside world when coming here is beyond me. It contradicts the whole point of the tranquility. J&C were considering making the reception chalet on the park into a wifi lounge but this is only a consideration at the moment. I Like chalet 1 personally, but I have been given a guided tour of all of the chalets. Chalet 7 is the most modern but to be honest, I would still choose chalet 1. Creature of habit.”
