A delightful place in which to stay especially during the winter months when the landscape is so beautiful for walking through. The cottage was comfortable, calming and welcoming thanks to Janet and we look forward to staying there again. Strongly recommended.

stayed at ragged acre for 3 nights at the end of October and had a great time. Room and bathroom were spotless as well as really comfortable. Janet was an ideal host, being really attentive whilst also allowing us our space. Lulu the dog was great as well and Janet was good enough to allow us to take Lulu walking...

We recently stayed at Ragged Acre for 3 nights and had a fantastic time around the Applecross bay area. Janet made us feel right at home and made an excellent cooked breakfast and fruit salad each morning, together with great coffee. The room was really clean and well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. En suite is modern, clean...

My partner and I throughly enjoyed our 2 nights at Ragged Acre, Applecross and perhaps Scotlands best B& B. We ventured to Applecross by train to Strachcarron and then bike over the Bealach na Bà - what a challenge - however the gradual progress up the pass made for a truly memorable experience - lots of time to take in...

Applecross itself is enough to charm your pants off, but Janet and her dog Lulu make Ragged Acre truly magical. From the afternoon tea upon arrival to Lulu's enthusiastic greetings (not forgetting Janet's helpfulness) this B&B is very special. Nicely furnished, clean and very comfortable. Book now before the only room gets filled: we were incredibly lucky to get a...

Having visited Applecross last year for a day decided to stay for a little longer this year and were not disappointed. Janet (and Lulu the dog) made us very welcome with tea and homemade cake on arrival. There is only one letting room so it is very quiet and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows and...

The Ragged Acre has raised the mark for bed and breakfast. Janet and Lulu made us feel very welcome, and it really felt like a home from home. It was the highlight of our honeymoon. She was quite right in that Applecross is great for two things, lots of good food and lots of good walks. We highly recommend Ragged...

We were made very welcome by Janet who served us afternoon tea upon our arrival (with lovely chocolate cake!) The room and ensuite were very clean, warm and comfortable and had everything we needed. The fridge in the room was a nice touch too. Breakfasts were memorable occasions - Janet prepared delicious food and we enjoyed eating whilst gazing out...

We enjoyed three nights at Ragged Acre. Our room and bath were fresh and most pleasant, the food satisfying, and our host generous and kind. We had unexpected car trouble and she made calls around town to help us sort things out. We had plenty of privacy and enjoyed the quiet of being a bit 'out of town'. This area...

Lived up to all previous reviews and would highly recommend it. Breakfast was as stunning as the welcome, we'll be back! (for longer next time, Janet!)
