we had a 3 night stay for a family celebration and we simply loved it. The food is great and Derek and Heather (owners) are very experienced hosts and their customer service just shines through. Staff are all local and again deliver excellent customer service. We will definitely go back....hubby reckons it is best cooked breakfast he has ever had👍👍plus... More

Went here as part of a large group for Sunday lunch. The menu was great, the service was very quick and the food was amazing. I had half a roast chicken with all the trimmings for my main, the banoffee pie was light and creamy and definitely the best I've ever had. The portion sizes were great and you got... More

Have being going here regularly for the last two years usually Sunday for the excellent roast dinner. Great place for taking the family accommodate larger groups (went with 14 family members all food arrived at the same time even though restaurant was busy) staff are attentive but not overbearing and the value for money is really good. Would highly recommend.

My teenagers treated me to a birthday lunch at the Carnegie Lodge. We received a very warm welcome from Heather Wynne who immediately sat us in the lovely bar area to have a pre lunch drink before placing our.food order. We were shown to our tables in the Restaurant which is set out so well and the large picture windows... More

Attended a family function. Evening started off well, the hotel had helped prepare the decorations etc and to all accounts were very helpful. A set menu was provided. The starters all were beautifully presented service was quick and efficient. Main courses arrived and that's when things started to slide a bit. The Yorkshire puddings didn't quite look like Yorkshire puddings... More

Recently started here with work, entertaining clients in the restaurants. Had a delicious meal which was served probably slightly fast for my liking but that's maybe been a bit picky. The rooms are comfortable, clean, warm and well stocked with fruit, biscuits, flat screen tv and good wifi. Very good value for money.

We stayed over while visiting family and are looking forward to going back in the summer. The rooms are immaculate, spacious and warm. The food is plentiful and delicious. The staff give a great service and make you feel very much at home.
