I can truly say that room 11[Oban] room was the worst room I have ever, ever been expected to sleep in and I have travelled the world over. Masking tape held the wallpaper on behind the headboard that had been strategically raised in a vain attempt to hide the fact. The wallpaper was mouldy and hanging down in the corner,...

Just returned from a two night stay at the Anchorage on a voucher deal. Lovely room with a beautiful sea view, very clean with spotless linen and white fluffy towels. Staff were very friendly and food was freshly cooked pub grub. This is a n old coaching inn so could do with a wee bit TLC but warm and clean....

This hotel is not just tired,it should be buried. The room I was in was awful. Afraid was going to fall through floor. Broken window. Tv in such a position that it was difficult to view as there was no where to sit except on 2 very hard and uncomfortable wooden chairs. No smoke alarm in room. Furniture chipped and...

Arrived at hotel just after 2pm got keys for room at the reception. The room was spacious and clean however furniture and fittings could have done with some TLC.The TV was on top of the wardrobe room was big and clean however the extractor fan did not work. The view from the room looked onto the beer garden. My deal...

Had a lovely couple of nights at this hotel. Our room had a four-poster bed and almost a separate area for dressing as it was so large! Decent sized television and well stocked tea and coffee facilities. Maybe could do with some updating to the decor but not an issue really. Dinner on the 1st night was substantial and served...

I thoroughly enjoyed my one night stay here. We used a voucher which was only £39 for two bed and breakfast. Like previous reviews have said, the decor is in need of some TLC, however the sheets towels and bathroom were all spotless and the room was warm and cosy. This hotel has a bit of character and the bar...

I wasn't expecting much when I booked this as it was so cheap. I had read the reviews and was a bit worried before I arrived. The room, we were in a twin on the top floor, was a great size, as was the bathroom. The room was clean and the bathroom was spotless. The room needed sprucing up, wallpaper...

I had bought this on a itison deal for 2 nights with a 2 course dinner on first night which was £79. For the price we were not expecting much especially with reading previous reviews after I had bought it. We had the family room on 1st floor room 6. Yes it's tired and needs attention with repairs to ceiling...

We stayed here on Friday and Saturday at Easter. This was about our 10/11 visit and we love it. Some people are too fussy and look for faults. We have been in about 6 different rooms and yes they are a bit jaded but the beds are clean. Food is excellent and very reasonably priced as we usually dine on...

“A room at the front will have a lovely view of the sea but a bit of noise for a short time as the pub comes out.”
