Balkissock Lodge is without a doubt the best B&B I've ever stayed. When we arrived, we booked a platter. The food was so fresh, healthy, so tasty. The hosts are really friendly and definitely up for a talk. The breakfast: there's a menu you could choose about what you would like to eat. Tip: choose the blueberry pancakes. Absolutely delicious!

What a fantastic time! And what a fantastic couple Cordelia and Howard were! They couldn't do enough for their guests. One visitor had written in the visitors book that this was the best breakfast in Scotland. We disagree. This was the best breakfast ever. The room was also beautiful and all great value. We will definitely go back.

We had stayed here before a few years ago, and were happy to be told that Cordelia and Howard had reopened it. We went for 3 nights midweek to relax and we certainly did that. The Lodge is at the end of a road into the hills and peaceful!! The room was very comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was...

Everything was top class: food, hospitality, surroundings. Remote, but that's its appeal. An excellent base to to tour Ayrshire. Will definitely return. Be warned phone reception is limited but excellent wi-fi. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful hidden location with the warmest welcome. No need to eat out with Cordelia's wonderful cold platter's. Nothing was to much trouble even catering for my wife's lactose intolerance. Thank you Cordelia for a lovely stay in your lovely home.

When Cordelia and Howard told me 4 years ago they were taking a break frim running tgeir wonderful B & B, I was gutted. Rarely does one find the perfect place to stay and it was to be no more. Needless to say, I was overjoyed to here they were accepting guests again. A true test of a B &...

We stayed 2 nights at Balkissock and enjoyed out time there. Our room was very comfortable and cosy in the evenings and mornings during what was a very chilly spell in late July. Tea and biscuits in the room were very welcome. The lodge is tucked away, a few miles from the village of Ballantrae so it's important to enjoy...
