Cosses Country House is a wonderful place where you can truly relax, explore Ayrshire and the west coast of Scotland, eat Sue's delicious meals and enjoy her and her husband's conversation. There's also a fantastic and extremely well-behaved dog, Oscar. For the price that in most B&Bs or hotels you'd pay for a room, at Cosses you get a suite...

We stayed for 3 nights at the Cosses Country House Hotel and explored South West Scotland. This place is very special. We stayed in a suite which had a most comfortable bedroom, a separate sitting room and bathroom with a nice long bath. The rooms were immaculate and all those little important matters which are so often forgotten seem to have...

we stayed here primarily because it looked interesting and was relatively convenient to the Stranraer ferry line. The grounds and gardens were incredibly beautiful. We drove up from the Lake District through such beautiful countryside! It was easy to find using google maps. The proprietors were well travelled and very kind.

Stayed last night, had afternoon tea on arrival, then dinner. A wonderfully peaceful location, a very warm welcome, comfortable accommodation. We stayed in the Iona suite which is actually a two-roomed cottage. Our hosts were warm, welcoming, attentive without smothering us and the cat and dogs were an added bonus! Plus the ducklings! The food was all freshly cooked, using...

Beautifully located, fantastic dinners and breakfasts, lovely hosts, nothing short of the most wonderful place to be when in Scotland. Worth a detour if you want to stay near the SW coast. It is great for hiking, good food and lots to see in the area. The B&B is far from any noise so peace and quiet are assured.
