My wife and I spent a few days in this home from home hotel on Isle of Islay, great food, good location, very relaxing Accomodation. The only facility it lacks is a sitting room to chill, before going upstairs to our bedroom.

We had a nice dinner at Bowmore Hotel. The quality of service and food was to our complete satisfaction. I had two starters, which was not a problem at all. The Whisky list of the bar is comprehensive. We did like the special furniture of the restaurant.

My husband and I were at a loss when an inn we booked backfired. There was little availability on Islay, as we started calling around any hotel or B&B we could find, but we assumed we'd be destined to sleep in the car. His phone rang, and it was the owner at Bowmore hotel calling us back to let us...

Visited the bowmore hotel several times while staying in Bowmore from the 20th -27th August. What a lovely place, with fantastic food , great staff and friendly locals. We ate in here a few times and the menu is huge....and I mean huge! Everything we had was delicious, real value for money and the two Peter's service was fab. We...

Fab food, good service, welcoming atmosphere, who could ask for more? We went for a meal on Sunday and were told it wasn't the normal menu but a bbq, with a hint of hesitation we sat down. Wow it was great, food was tasty, big portions and really was worth every penny. Will definitely be back !!!

A pub aspiring to be a hotel. Extensive mould on the bedroom ceilings in the three rooms we used. A dreadful party in the bar until 01:00 so no one could sleep. Scant regard for the sleeping guests. A poor and over priced experience. A disappointing experience for our overseas guests.

This family run hotel has been transformed over the past few years with first the bar, lounge and dining areas and now all but a few rooms have been stripped back and totally refurbished, all using specially chosen timbers with resin inlays of seaweed, coins and local pieces of history. The rooms have kept a nice Scottish island feel and...

What a great place for a meal! I had oysters for the first time as they were delicious. I wanted to keep the shell as a souvenir so the owner put them through the dishwasher and put them in a bag for me. We were treated so well by the staff who genuinely seemed interested in our holiday! The haggis...

Dropped in for a light lunch as our 'usual' eating place in Bowmore was crowded out. So pleased it was, because the lunch we were served was very tasty. In fact, we were so impressed with just about everything in this cosy little hotel that we'll definitely be back for more. The lunch order was taken quickly and the drinks...
