Stayed for 2 nights on recommendation from a local friend. Warm, genuine Islay welcome by Margaret - she let us choose either the ground floor double room or top floor twin room, we decided on the top floor twin room as it was more spacious. Centrally located, right next the the petrol station and across the road from the Bowmore... More

Right from the door opening we were made to feel so welcome. Every detail thought about. Beautiful standard of room. Fabulous shower! Breakfast? Great produce and excellent cooking. And Margaret is so friendly and helpful. Only one small criticism (and usually the case in b n bs) - the heating gets switched off shortly after breakfast so if you're planning... More

Stayed at the Lambeth Guest House for 2 nights last week. The warm welcome and hospitality from Margaret and John was wonderful. The guest house is central and within walking distance to Bowmore Distillery, shops, bars and restaurants however the location is quiet. The bedroom was clean and very comfortable, towels changed daily and lovely toiletries left out for guests... More

Centrally located in Bowmore. Walking distance to several bars and restaurants of rather high quality. Also walking distance to Bowmore distillery - a very good attraction. The hostess serves yo what ever you want for breakfast, and the variety is good and great. Rooms are nice and bathrooms are very nice. Cleaning is excellent and lots of towels are provided... More

Lovely guest house in Bowmore! Excellent breakfast and super friendly staff! We stayed here for one night while visiting distilleries on Islay. The rooms were clean and fresh and seemed quite newly renovated. There is a lively pub nearby.

My second stay here, every bit as good as the first and well worth coming back to. Margaret and John are genuinely helpful and warm hosts, and the rooms are beautifully decorated in tasteful modern style. Comfy bed, plenty of drawers and space to hang clothes, and a large wet room with large powerful shower. Satellite TV with Freesat channels.... More

Couldn't have been made anymore welcome , rooms were lovely nice wee touches and kept immaculate by Christine who again was so... More

I really, really enjoyed my three days at Lambeth Guesthouse. Everything was great. The breakfast, the room, the hospitality, the location, the cleanliness... everything was outstanding. I seriously don't have anything to complain about. If you are on Islay, book Lambeth.

I can only endorse the great reviews of Lambeth Guest House that have already been written. I have been satying in numerous other premises on Islay for the past 30 years and for some strange reason this was my first time in Lambeth and it certainly won't be my last. The only proviso to this is if I'm allowed back... More
