We stayed at Donald and Rosemary's farm in late November and it was a very pleasant stay. Straight away we felt like we were visiting a dear relative and we became part of the family. Ample information and tips of what to do on Islay was provided by Donald. A delicious and typical Scottish breakfast was served in the morning,... More

Rosemary and Donald were excellent hosts. Rosemary showed us around upon our arrival and made dinner reservations for us at the nearby Bridgend Hotel. The room was immaculate. Good, king sized bed. Comfortable common sitting area with good selection of television channels. Great breakfast with great Black Pudding! Beautiful view of Jura from the garden. We're not likely to get... More

This is a place I will keep in my memory for a very long time, extremely comfortable room with large shower cubicle bathroom. Hospitable friendly hosts who made us feel welcome and gave us great info about the island. Lovely full Scottish breakfast to start the day with a real smile. Highly recommend, just wish our visit was for more... More

I spent three nights at this b&b whilst working on Islay. The owners were friendly and helpful, and even gave me a lift to the ferry! The room was clean and tidy and the kitchen stocked with what I needed. My working hours meant I had meals elsewhere but cereals etc were available.

From the first I had a really good feeling about Am Fearann. The calls I had made in making the booking reassured me of a warm welcome and my queries were answered promptly and politely. Then, once we arrived we felt welcomed and almost part of the family from the start. We were cycling round the island for a few... More

We arrived at Port Askaig off the evening ferry and Persabus is only a 5 minute drive away. We had a comfortable 2 nights there whilst exploring Islay in beautiful autumn weather. The sunsets were wonderful. Our hosts were very friendly.

Could not stay in a better place nor with a more hospitable family. The Fletchers make you feel part of the family. Restful, peaceful and beautiful views across the Sound and to the Paps of Jura. Utterly fantastic. Enjoy!!!!!

Persabus is the place to stay when visiting Islay. Found this accommodation by pure chance, emailed a question and quickly got a response. We could stay at Persabus if we wanted to. Once there we were greeted by Rosemary who showed us our rooms. Gorgeous room with comfortable large beds and a small place between the rooms where you could... More

We stayed in the mill house cottage at persabus farm. From the house you have the most incredible view of the paps of Jura and you're only a couple of miles from the stunning coastline. With the sun shining and the water so clear we could only plunge in to the icy waters, watched by an inquisitive seal. Donald and... More
