We had a lovely comfortable room . It was clean and warm and the beds very cosy. The bathroom was good and had very nice toiletries. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The food was mostly good although, one night, the chicken had been overcooked and very tough. Ideal place for being near to the ferry port. I recommend...

We stayed at this hotel for the last two nights of our tour of the Hebrides and found it a very pleasant experience. We had no problems whatsoever with our room and the staff were helpful and with good manners. The food was plentiful and of a good standard and I would certainly stay there agaian.

We were travelling with a coach party Good points: food was fine and bedding clean Bad points: room tired and not too clean, bathroom disgusting with mouldy grout and mastic around bath. Shower curtain stained and slimy with mould. Towel rail very rusty, did not heat up and leaked constantly so floor had puddle. One bath towel laundered but 2...

I stayed here two nights as part of a coach tour. Although the view from my window was unattractive, my room was very pleasant, clean and quiet. The double bed was extremely comfortable and the little bathroom well appointed. The only quibble was that there was no hook anywhere to hang up a nightie or dressing gown. Other than that...

Cold and wet morning so asked if we could...

The front of house staff here were so helpful when we were searching the island for somewhere to stay after the last ferry off the island being cancelled due to weather conditions. They gave us a room straight away and had a member of staff dig out a travel cot for our 18 month old son. Everybody was extremely friendly...

We went here for a large family dinner on a Friday evening. The food served from the menu - fixed or à la carte - was excellent. The soup of the day - lentil - was very tasty (perhaps a smidgeon too salty) and the beef main course was great. Excellent desserts. I tried the wonderful sticky toffee pudding. Because...

Modern, comfortable, stylish hotel on the edge of Stornoway. Friendly service and most important for business visitors - reliable wifi, on an outer Scottish island that has decidedly occasional mobile phone service. It's a bit of a hike to downtown Stornoway but perfect if you've got a car. Good restaurant (not especially cheap).

We went here for an evening meal on a Sunday and the set menu choices and the cost of the set meal was extremely good value for money. The staff were very accommodating as we were a lot later turning up, due to our walk taking longer than expected. Well worth a visit
