We had an ok stay and I wish I had more positive things to say, but I am struggling. I felt rather unwelcomed right from the start and there seemed to be very little interest in us or our stay. I could excuse a lot but the bathroom was unacceptable, the cracks in the sink, the black mould everywhere, the...

If you enjoy sleeping on hard springs. Having mini plates for breakfast. Listening to the next rooms conversation and walking to your accommodation in pitch black, then this is the place for you. But sadly it's not for me but Isle of Skye is a must . Just not this hotel.

I was immediately unimpressed. It took us 5 minutes to find someone just to check in and it got worse from thereon. There was mold in the shower stall. My wife could feel the springs in the mattress. The buffet breakfast was less than inviting and really had no appeal. When the guests upstairs walked, it sounded like they were...

Thank you Victoria and Iliya for making our stay so pleasurable. From the moment we arrived, viewed our lovely bedroom and settled in for 3 nights, we felt so welcome. In spite of your difficult family circumstances you gave us excellent service, and we almost felt like 'family' when the time came to depart back to the mainland, leaving us...

No words can actually convey how awful this hotel is! Dirty, damp, cold, unwelcoming, musty, tired, inappropriate war memorabilia for a hotel supposedly welcoming tourists from around the world. I could go on and on!!! If you book this hotel then be aware it is not of any standard experienced in any other hotel I stayed in in Scotland .............

I booked through Booking.com and stayed for one night. I check in and put my bag in the room then left in a rush as I was going sightseeing.....big mistake. On return around 7pm l had a look around my room. 1, room was very dated and in need of redecoration. 2, old box style TV with few channels, not...

This was the worst hotel we stayed in so far on our trip through Scotland. Actually it would be a fine house - but it's completely run down (trash in front of the entrance, sofa in an awful condition ...). The overall decoration theme is "war and its heros" - which is Ok - but camouflage nets hanging from the...

Website photos are deceptive. Grounds unkept and building is tired. Welcome from proprietrix - what welcome? No manners. Food ok. Nothing special. Glenn Miller plays endlessly in dining room. Camouflage netting adorns the ceiling!!Faded WW2 newspapers around the walls - ugh! Japanese family placed beside cutting of Hiroshima bomb!? Staff (other than owner) friendly and helpful. Convenient location. Dog-friendly. Wouldn't...

When we arrived we found the host/owner to be abrasive. The bedding is in desperate need of updating - we literally slept on the wood slates of the box spring. The serving staff for breakfast were two lovely ladies but the owner was not the least bit friendly.
