We stayed in the Macmillan room with a four poster bed and a jacuzzi bath. Nice and clean. Honesty bar downstairs. Two lounges. Superb breakfast and dinner. Not far to walk in to Kyleleakin. Where we went last night to King Hakkon bar to listen to a band after our meal. Tonight was windy and rainy so walked 400 yards...

There was a mix up with the booking as the hotel had us down for a family room rather than a double, we arrived late at night and just missed the restaurant by a couple of minutes, but after a little bit of chatting to the chap on reception he squared us away with a nice meal from the leftovers...

The room was clean and worked well for our party of four. Nothing flash, but as described. Well located on the tip of the Isle of Skye and a short (30min) drive to the beautiful Fairy Pools. Loved the Honesty Bar by the lobby - a rare sight these days.

Upon entering the room it looked a little dirty as did the bathroom but I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. I wish I hadn't. As I closed the curtains the windowsill was crawling in flies/midges as was every single wall in the room and the ceiling. I tired my best to put it out my mind...

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in over 50 years of world travel. Moldy disgusting filthy room. Toilet would not flush; shower would not work.Bed springs jumping through the sheets. Wifi down permanently. Restaurant was good, but not worth the torture of the room. Recommendation: Pass, Pass, Pass.

I have some concerns about this hotel after reading comments of other visitors. Hoever, my experience was not bad at all. I stayed there for a couple nights with my family in four poster bedroom. It was quite decent.

My family stayed here for one night. The people running the place were pleasant but seemed inexperienced with customer service. The woman who was most likely the manager or owner was very rude and not friendly. There was not enough hot water for all of the guests in the morning and we were given the "it's an old house" line....

Worst place we have stayed at...in all of Europe travels. Do not stay here...we had to book because everything else was full and now we know why this place still had rooms. Rooms were overpriced, very dated, strong must odor, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. We did not get good sleep at all. The "gardens" sadly have been neglected...

Our stay was a fright from start to finish. I can say the towels were nice. From there it goes downhill. The bed was old and damp and we felt every spring. The shower walls had black grout and there was no water pressure. We were in " the lodge". The outbuilding really .....and every step above was like thunder....

We stayed last night in The Lodge. Omg. Black mold around the windows. Horrible synthetic scent to try to cover mold smell. Cheap buckled linoleum in bathroom. Mold in bathroom. Shower on off button missing. walls damaged. Cheap fixtures missing. Carpet in room funky and old. Nice toiletries and bathrobes cannot compensate. This is a bathroom from a cheap US...
