We stayed here in January using one of the hotel's discount breaks. What a great time we had. The hotel is a bit tired looking but it gives it real character. The breakfast is fantastic and nothing is too much bother for them. The room was more than adequate, clean and a great view over the harbour. The staff are...

The only drawback was not having an elevator but we knew that in advance. We were warmly received but our room wasn't ready so we ate lunch in the bar attached. Everyone was so nice, including other patrons, and we got several recommendations for dinner - even for competing restaurants. Would definitely go back. Thoroughly enjoyed it. It takes time...

We stayed here for two nights and the hotel is a bit tired as others have said. However, our family room was very clean and had a modernised bathroom. Our family members who had the double room said there's was not revamped and the bed small. The staff were lovely and breakfast was very good. If it were to be...

On the plus side, breakfast was excellent and service courteous. It had a good location and the view over the harbour was nice. Our room, room 10, was well set up for a family with two single beds for the kids and a double for the grown ups. The decor was quite tired despite the high price and the cleanliness...

I stayed here with my husband for 2 nights Hogmany and New Year's night. As others have mentioned, first impressions not good,as the decor is dated and a bit shabby, especially in corridors and stairs. Our room also had the 1970's feel, but was clean, comfortable and had a lovely view over Portree harbour. We ate in the hotel restaurant on Hogmanay as there was a...

We booked this hotel for three nights. However, we were disappointed on arrival. The hotel is a little run down and extremely basic. The receptionist however was helpful and polite. We decided not to stay here and paid a cancellation fee. The staff were professional during the process.

Very nice welcome on our arrival, our room was spacious, the cooked breakfast was tasty with the option of porridge, cereal, smoked fish or a continental breakfast. The restaurant also provides nice meals. Good value for food and drink. Located in the center of town. Worth a visit!

Stayed here for 2 nights and it was a place to rest our heads. The rooms were clean enough, its in a great spot in Portree and the breakfast lady in the morning was really lovely. But otherwise it was a bit rundown and probably needs updating.

I stayed two nights early November while on a tour of the Highlands and Skye. I had a room with a view of the harbor but the view wasn't as great asI expected. Room and bath dated, a bit run down but adequate.
