My husband and I spent our honeymoon driving around Scotland (August 2014...this review is a long time coming). We were lucky to book into this lovely hotel last minute and it certainly did not disappoint. We found the owners to be very welcoming and courteous. The food was amazing; particular highlights include the salad :), the incredible eggs benedict and...

The location is superb with wonderful view and scenery. This would be a good place for couples to visit. The food is 5 star and the chefs are awesome. The only reason I did not give this hotel 5 stars is that the owners were not very 'friendly' to our group. We were a bigger group than they would normally...

Thank you for your review and we are naturally disappointed to receive your comment that we were not very "friendly" towards you. The size of your group was irrelevant, we were rather frustrated when, like every other guest, you were asked at the time of booking whether any of you had any food allergies or were vegetarian. You did not...

This was the third time that we had stayed at this hotel in recent years and it still holds up for location, food and service. This time we stayed in the Harport room with views to the loch and the Cullin Ridge beyond. We could not have arrived at a better time with stunning views from the hotel to the...

My wife and I stayed at the Ullinish Country Lodge for four nights during the first week of October. It was a delightful experience from beginning to end. The lodge sits on the Atlantic side, and the views from the inn were beautiful. But what made our time so wonderful there was the evening meal. It was not just a...

This is a delight, the food is exceptional I frequently travel and I do enjoy a good meal. I have been fortunate enough to eat at some of the most reputable restaurants and the food and service here is second to non. The service is attentive and friendly, from the start with drinks and canapé served in the lounge then...

The first thing we noticed about this country Lodge was the fabulous view from our room, which was called "Dr Johnson." Downstairs in the cozy lounge we enjoyed our drinks with canapés, and then went to the dining room. The food was outstanding from beginning to end, and locally sourced. Chef Collum Montgomery's menu was creative and well presented. We...

It was my wife Nicola's 60th birthday so we wanted somewhere special. Just looking at the photo of the Ullinish Country Lodge Hotel with its Cuillin backdrop gave us both goosebumps and with the rave reviews in mind we booked it. And what a good choice that was. We arrived on a late September afternoon highlighted by sunshine and showers....

Booked a 3 x Day autumn special & had no idea that this lodge was as upmarket as it was and I was 'blown away' - The interior is very much in keeping with the period and history of the property & had a warm & cosy feel to it. We had never experienced fine dining before & what a...

We absolutely loved this restaurant with rooms. Our daughter and son in law stayed here 5 years ago and had always said we would love it. They were right, it certainly lived up to their recommendation. The Dr Johnston room was tastefully furnished, the large wooden framed bed was impressive and also very comfortable. The view was lovely, the bathroom...

Thank you for your review and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. The reason that we do not play background music is that we would require a licence from two separate organisations (who regularly check) at a prohibitive annual cost for a business of our size.

Pam and Brian run this outstanding Ullinish Country Lodge Hotel with such great aplomb that we truly enjoyed a delightful 3-night stay there. Quite apart from being an outstandingly comfortable and beautifully furnished lodge, the dinners here are to die for. You will be really hard pushed to find finer cuisine even in starred Michelin restaurants. Great and cosmopolitan wine...
