We stayed in this B&b for two night. The house was very outlying and it was not very easy to get there. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We had internet access and the view from one room was great. The other room had not a very good view (backyard). I think it was great for the price and...

The location was great for our purposes (searching for our "Roots"). The B&B was right by the home,& business of my very distant relative and just down the road from the museum of island life & historic cemetery, where we found the grave of my 10th great grandfather "Angus of the Winds". Kilmuir House is lovely, full of antiques, with...

The only thing was the 2 steps at the front door but they were not really a problem. I will go back and stay here next time i am in Skye gorgeous views and house. Phil...

We checked into Kilmuir House after arriving on the afternoon ferry in Armadale, and stopping for dinner in Portree (on the advice of our hostess). Since we had been on Skye before, we didn't take time to stop anywhere on the way. I can't tell you what the views from the B&B were like - it was dark, rainy and...

Kilmuir House was an unexpected pleasure. It's one of those old houses you see sitting tall on the green slopes of western Skye. Sally who runs it is a ball of energy and very kind, making tea as soon as you get in. Unlike so many places I stayed in the UK, the rooms in Kilmuir House were spacious--the bedroom,...
