We had a very small room (converted bike shed) - but it contained all we needed and was very comfortable, warm & quiet. The Old School is a few miles from Kinlochbervie so we recommend booking for the evening meal - the food is very good. It's a scenic location a short distance off the north coats tour route.

Returned again this year and had a lovely lunch. Mushroom soup was excellent and the fish and chips were brilliant. Local fish very fresh and also everything available gluten free! Thanks again for a lovely meal we will be back later in the week. 😊

After others good reviews we were expecting better standards. The rooms were no better than average, grubby in areas, and the food whilst nice was nothing special. The service at breakfast was chaotic even though it was quiet. It was the most expensive of the rooms on our trip and the least satisfactory. A bit of competition would help.

We used the Old School Room during our North Coast 500 trip. On arrival a gentleman showed us to the annex, which appears to contain around four rooms each with en-suite facilities. The room was spotless, and contained a double bed and a single, ideal for a family. Small en-suite and shower was big enough, and I'm 6'4". Good comfy...

We were tempted in by the chalkboard advertising fresh Kinlochbervie Haddock and chips, we weren't disappointed. The sun was warm enough to eat outside in the garden (dog friendly outdoors), lovely spot for lunch, fabulous views over the loch

Beautiful food and rooms. We were running late and they still made sure we could eat at nighttime for dinner and waited for us. So friendly, everything was clean. Heard this place is full constantly during peak season and I understand why. I'd come back here again if I could get the chance. Highly recommend it!! If you get the...

This Old School House is situated in an amazing location with views over the tremendous landscape. It is tastefully decorated retaining elements of the 'old school'. The menu is very wide ranging and includes casuals such as soups and sandwiches and some more elaborate main dishes including vegetarian options. We had fresh prawn salads which were very good. Prices are...

A great place to finish a long days walking the beautiful mountains and locks. Very welcoming and friendly service in a fantastic setting of a lovely old school. The food was excellent and good value for money, Sophie was our waitress, and she was most helpful and attentive to our needs. Altogether a place we would return to with out...
