We liked this hotel. The staff were friendly, and the hotel looks out at a sports field, where we heard there were some highland games the week before. The elderly lady who stayed in the room before us spent most of the time watching the games out the window. There's a nice bar that my husband spent quite a bit...

What a place!. Stayed here for a weekend with friends, Grant and Maria were wonderful hosts ,immediately made us feel at home, felt like I had known them for years when I left. Hotel is beautifully presented in similar surroundings, well stocked bar (amazing Whiskeys) fantastic food in the restaurant. Already booked in for a return trip. Fantastic.

I recently visited the Moorfield House Hotel for a reunion with old friends and right from the start I was blown away. The village itself is very picturesque and the hotel is situated right next to the grounds for the highland games. Once inside I found that the hotel had been recently renovated and to a high standard. Everything looked...

I have stayed in many large hotel chains recently, but it's only when you decide to book in to a family run business do you realise what you miss out on. Having informed the hotel I would be arriving late I could not have been welcomed any more than I was, with a roaring log-fire, family atmosphere and a beautiful...

I stayed at Moorfield House Hotel for a weekend and had a brilliant time. Some of the best food I've ever eaten (especially the Sea Salt Caramel Cookie Crumble!), a cosy bar with wood-burning stove, Sky Sports, a very clean and comfortable room... but perhaps most importantly, superb service from a very welcoming team. The location, overlooking the Highland Games...

Really welcoming. Three nights, walking in between and everything I wanted and needed. Great bar, really good food. Friendly and cosy. Lovely separate family room suited us perfectly. Many thanks for a great stay.

We had an amazing 2 night stay and will be definitely going back. Food was fantastic, staff were incredibly helpful and feels like we were taken care of personally as if we had known them for years. Beautiful location for a hotel within easy walking distance of the town.

If you are expecting a Four Seasons, Ritz, or Hilton, then this is not the hotel for you. On the other hand, if you are looking for a warm, friendly, inviting family run bed-and-breakfast, then you would have trouble finding a better hotel anywhere in Scotland. We stayed there over the Highland games in 2016, and I cannot imagine a...

Hi Don We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us over the games weekend and it was a pleasure to have you all. Although a bit noisy at times (especially when the pipe band were playing in the bar) it was a great atmosphere and we hope all of our guests enjoyed it as much as we did. We...
