Dunvalanree is found at the end the road overlooking Port Righ beach and we visited it with our daughter and son in law for dinner to celebrate their wedding anniversary. They had eaten here on many occasions but it was our first visit and we were not disappointed. The meal was excellent and good value for money and the scallops...

We booked a double room and were disappointed to say the least it was tiny. But what was worse was the fact it hadn't been used in quite some time. To describe the bed as freezing is no exaggeration it was bitter. Everything about the room was dilapidated and tired. It clearly wasn't fit for purpose. The host Alan (Basil)...

We are so sorry you had such a time with us that you did not enjoy your stay. We asked, as you left, if you had enjoyed your stay. You said you did. But then took to the pages of this forum to say otherwise and make personal remarks. You booked our last available room for that night, which we...

Stunning setting, delicious home cooking and warm hospitality. Well worth the visit and a great base to explore this beautiful part of Scotland. Family run hotel with classy food, with fresh local ingredients and excellent options. Also fine stock of whiskey and nice wine list.

We were delighted with our stay here. The property is isolated but in a beautiful setting. It is family owned by the same couple for 19 years. The husband is a very present, somewhat acerbic host. His wife is the chef. Guests gather at about 7 for a social hour before dinner. The multi course dinner featured fine, fresh ingredients...

Consistently excellent food and whole evening experience from Alan and Alyson. Every year we travel to beautiful Carradale Bay in our Motorhome and look forward to our regular visits to Dunvalenree. Always a warm welcome where friendly guests chat happily together over pre-dinner drinks and the food is amazing. Thank you.

My husband and I came here for one night on our honeymoon seafood tour of Scotland. He describes it as the best place he has ever stayed. The hosting was fantastic from beach towels, pre-dinner drinks and home-made shortbread in the room. Very comfortable bed in a room with an amazing view after a fun evening with deliciously cooked home...

My husband and I went to the Dunvalanree hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and what a fabulous little hotel this turned out to be. We were able to take our two springer spaniels with us, and they were allowed to stay in the hotel with us. We stayed in Bedroom number 1, which had patio doors onto the secure...

We stayed here for 3 nights last week (2 adults, one 8 year old) and had a great experience. The location on the little bay was wonderful, and we had an excellent view from our room #7.
