When my wife and I decided to visit Jura, we were concerned at there only being one hotel. Reviews here helped put our mind to rest and we were not disappointed. We stayed for one night in April. After arriving at Port Askaig on the CalMac ferry, we disembarked and then drove straight onto the Jura ferry. Its a 25...

Jura's only hotel is an absolute favourite of mine for a get away from it all break in one of the loveliest locations in Britain. Overlooking the small isles bay you can watch the sunrise each morning over the sea and mountain backdrop. Great food and good selection of drinks incl the obvious jura whiskey from (literally) across the road...

I treated my wife to a few quiet days away on Jura, and the Jura Hotel proved to be the perfect base. Laid back, but not at the expense of high standards, it is completely relaxing. Great chef, superb wine list and a well-stocked lively bar. Can't recommend it highly enough.

A warm welcome, outstanding food, beautiful room, lovely views, very clean, attention to detail. What more could you ask for? We visited Jura for the first time and will go back: the island has much to offer in terms of culture and wilderness, but the hotel made our stay. You will certainly experience beautiful food which exceeds your expectations and...

I Haven't been writing reviews as of late as nothing has excited me enough to inform you all. But when i find my self reluctantly leaving isle of jura, i really must tell you what a fantastic time we had. Weather wasn't particular nice but i wasn't visiting the island for a tan. More the rough and rugged Scottish wilderness...

Hotel was comfortable and had plenty of seating areas for various holidaymakers comfort. The hotel staff were very pleasant and couldn't do enough to accommodate us. We loved the food and the puddings were to die for yummy. The hotel is undergoing substantial renovation at the moment but it seems this will only improved an already great place to stay....

But if you book in February what else can you expect! The only downside was on he waistlines as we were not balancing the excellent calory intake with exercise. We were first guests after closure for refurbishment, the welcome we received was second to none, a free upgrade, and a very very comfortable stay, Carn't wait to return, when hopefully,...

We went to the Isle of Jura in January to vet it out as a possible wedding venue. After three nights of generous portions of home-comfort food with local produce, scenic walks filled with tranquility and lots of deer, and the hospitality of the lovely couple and staff who run it, we had our hearts set. We look forward to...

Spent two nights at the Jura Hotel as part of our tour of the Isles. I felt this was going to be good when I made the booking by telephone from the other side of the world and spoke to a lady who made me feel like she was a long lost friend. Anyway I was wrong it was so...

As the only hotel on the island, they have no competition to speak of, but they don't act like it. I expected rooms to be somewhat rustic because of the guidebook description, but my room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice modern bathroom. The employees were very friendly. They have the only restaurant on the island, and the food...
