We had a lovely relaxing stay just before christmas. Open fire, nice full gantry, a comfy bed and hot shower all made twice as good by the beautiful location. Our value for money was good as we stayed on a winter deal but I was less than impresssed with the frayed and to be honest dangerous carpet leading to our... More

We only stayed one night at the Ardanaiseig Hotel but wished we had booked longer. We came here directly from Gleneagles Hotel and were expecting a bit of a come down from the 5* luxury ,but not a bit if it. We were wowed from the first glimpse of this magical hotel. We were made to feel very welcome at... More

As part of our Christmas gifts our family gave us a voucher for a one night stay at Ardanaiseig and we decided to add an additional 2 nights at the time of my husband's birthday in February. We had not been in this area of Scotland for many years and we were delighted at the opportunity to revisit the area.... More

We stayed at this hotel as a weekend away to celebrate a birthday. The rooms were very comfortable, the food was excellent and the grounds a joy to explore. As part of our weekend we were supposed to have a picnic on the lake with a boat. Unfortunately the weather didn't permit even though the staff has been very accommodating... More

Stayd here 5 years ago with the fondest most romantic memories of a castle that managed to capture the spirit of a genuine Scottish retreat. Fast forward to 2014 -. 1. Eastern European staff greet you with confusion and poor English 2. I came in with my gun dog and they looked at me like i had just walked in... More

My partner and I stayed here for two nights for my birthday in December. As we travelled up from Edinburgh after work, the majority of the jorney was in the dark and it was Scary! Once off the main road its several miles of what I would describe as a track. Path from the carpark to the hotel is also... More

My wife and I stayed here as part of birthday celebrations which I had booked back in June 2014. At that time, Marcel the general manager, was kind enough to offer 2 nights for the price of 1 which was accepted without hesitation. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and shown to our chosen master room with a lake view.... More

This was our 6th time visiting Ardanaiseig and absolutely as wonderful as the first time. The staff are attentive and thoughtful (I got a candle on my dessert as it was my birthday) and friendly without being intrusive. The food is divine, and even though my fiancé isn't big on fish, he is well catered for and the desserts are... More

We had a fantastic 2 night stay at Ardanaiseig Hotel. The staff are absolutely amazing. We couldn't have had better service. The Food is just about the most delicious we've ever had. We had the Al a Carte on the first night and the Tasting Menu on the second. Both were amazing and we would come back for this alone.... More

The hotel has an air of faded glory but with elegant public rooms, cozy - and warm - bedrooms and comfortable beds. The food and wine are superb and the staff are genuinely delightful and helpful. We have a lovely weekend and will return.
