We called in on Saturday afternoon the place we busy and they managed to find us a table. The menu is good and the food was first class. It's a couple of years since I last was there. It's good to see the food and service is excellent.

We ate here several times while staying in Rothesay last month. The selection of food is superb as is the quality and taste. Can highly recommend the sharing desserts too. Great selection of beers and huge variety of whiskies too. A gem of a place. There's a beach just a short distance which is great for the dog/kids. Hotel is... More

Popped into Kingarth Hotel with my husband & young daughter. Upon arrival we were greeted by a member of the Kingarth team. The colleague was very welcoming, and guided us to an available table. The menu was extensive & having the 'specials' board offered other options. My hubby & I decided to order 2 courses (starters & main)...we were not... More

Had a lovely family meal here. The staff where so friendly and the portions were huge and the price was fantastic. Definitely be going back. My daughter loves the big rabbits outside and the pool table.

A lovely oldcfadjioned hotel with a great menu and relaxed atmosphere. My parents live on Bute so we visit regularly and have never been disappointed with the food or service. They also do gift vouchers which is handy.

We had dinner at the hotel and we both went for the specials. I had the local lamb which was the best lamb I've tasted and my wife had the tuna and swordfish stack which was apparently lovely too. Desert was the sharing platter and it was top notch. One of the best meals we've had out and we go... More

Easily one of our favourite places to eat and unwind anywhere in Scotland. The Kingarth is a little gem, with a magnificent menu (plus ever-changing specials on the board by the fireplace), great staff and a warm and relaxed ambiance. Whether you choose from the bar menu or opt for something enticing from the specials board, you'll be more than... More

This is a gem of a hotel and restaurant, very much worth the trip. It is in a quiet part of the beautiful Isle of Bute off the west coast of Scotland. The staff are lovely and there is such a warm welcome. I had a lovely vegetable and lentil soup, which was piping hot and there was a great... More

This is a great place to eat or have a drink. My wife and I have been a couple of time and never been disappointed. Minor draw back was that we wanted to stay but they unfortunately only have a couple of rooms. Not to worry may be next time
