Don't be duped. Loch Long Hotel deserves an award. An award for the ugliest hotel building in Scotland. Yet the first picture that you see when you make your booking on TripAdvisor is the Loch Awe Hotel which is a beauty. If you don't bother to scroll through the pictures, you might make the mistake of thinking that the hotel...

Management response:

The Hotel has no control over what tripadvisor has on it, we can respond to reviews but that’s where it ends. Since taking over the hotel in October, we have uploaded true images and asked tripadvisor to change them four times and have been ignored on each occasion. We do not advertise or accept bookings via tripadvisor. We're not happy...

Myself and three friends have just spent a brilliant weekend at this hotel. For the modest price paid we were not sure what standard to expect. Fortunately any apprehensions were quickly dispersed. The reception area was warm and welcoming. Check in was very quick & easy. Our rooms (60 & 62) were small but adequately equipped. The rooms overlooked the...

After Travelling from Coventry i was greeted with a smile and a very warm welcome here at the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff definitely went that extra mile. Our room was a Loch Side room and wow!! what a view in the morning. Breakfast was great with a very good selection on the Scottish breakfast as...

We visited the Loch Long Hotel for my parents' wedding very special anniversary and the staff made it a very special occasion. The manager, Ofer, gave us exclusive use of the top floor with stunning views and all the staff were brilliant. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel - the food was great as was the entertainment...

This is a lovely hotel by Loch Long. Unfortunately it did not quite live up to expectation. We booked a Loch view room on booking.com. However when we checked in it was a tiny room with a view mostly of an external wall. We decided to have the evening meal but like many couples waited over an hour for main...

I recently visited the Loch Long Hotel and was unpleasantly surprised. After reading various reviews about how wonderful the hotel and the food is, curious, I thought I should probably try this place out for a couple of days. On my arrival, I was greeted at reception, given my keys and made my way up to my room. I found...

I booked a loch view room I was given room 43 which had the most amazing view & kingsize bed. It was also very clean and had just been decorated. The entertainment for...

You get what you pay for at this hotel - the room was clean, the beds comfortable and the staff friendly. However, the heater in the room was broken, there was no hot water in the bathroom and no soap provided. We arrived too late (5.15pm) for the bar food so were told the only option was a 3-course meal...

As I write this well after 1:30 am I can hear conversation, footsteps, plumbing, TV and squeaking floorboards from above. Really angry as indicated we were unhappy with the room when checking in (dark, cold, close-up view of outside wall, away form main part of hotel) and the noise took our dissatisfaction to a new level. Advise to spend a...
