I visited Palumbo's chippie arpund 6pm Saturday 20rh May 2017. With 3 waitresses parked on stools, service was slow. First came our Irn Bru - cans and glasses but no ice, which we had to ask for! Our fish and chips followed almost 30 minutes later, I'm still angry with myself for not walking out. The food was average at...

A review from just before your one. Can't explain why so different :- "Himself and I had intended to try the Lomond chippy at the station, but it was closed, so we went to Palombo's instead. A lovely welcome from Mama, who told us there would be a wee wait, as everything was being made fresh, great service from Doreen, and...

Palombos was great! We were very well looked after. Room was lovely and very comfortable. Full scottish breakfast in the morning was lovely. Staff were so friendly and happy to help. Good value for money for a charming wee B&B!!

rooms a bit dated, cleanliness ok, arrival staff quite dry, excellent breakfast where the serving staff were much more welcoming, quite noisy during the night due to location but not the fault of the hotel. good value for money so would stay again.

Good spotless room with entry from 12 noon. Staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Situated centrally in town with large public car park opposite. Good Scottish breakfast in the morning. Stayed 2 nights and would certainly use again.

Never write reviews but thought we needed to for this. Staff very rude and didnt listen to order, ended up getting it wrong. Staff ate chips then continued to touch food without washing hands. Then when we left there was a hair in the food!! Gravy wasn't available on a Saturday night at prime time. The second member of staff...

So sorry for your terrible experience. You really should have asked to speak to one of the owners, there is ALWAYS one of them there. I think a problem, especially one as critical as this is best resolved face to face and rectified. Social media and review sites are extremely helpful but do not rectify the problem especially when you...

A gem of a place in the middle of Balloch, comfortable rooms above a fish n chip restaurant with a good pub on either side, what more could you want? Nice warm clean en-suite room, good food with great service and a chat with the very friendly staff, free car parking straight across the road covered by CCTV. Nothing was...

Greeted by very friendly staff & the owner Franco we were shown up to the rooms which were lovely and warm on a cold day everything was clean & tidy even the hotel inspector couldn't have found fault. The food was gorgeous & plenty of it. Breakfast the following morning was freshly cooked as you arrived down for it so...

Needed a hotel with just a days notice as a last minute decision to go to a do in Scotland. Booked it and then looked at the reviews and was a bit worried if I am honest. But all that went out the window when we arrived. Had to check-in the restaurant bit which was very busy and the food...
