Enjoyed a fabulous overnight stay at the weekend and loved every minute. Abi, at reception, was so friendly and helpful and our room in Aber Cottage was beautiful. The view of the loch from the deck was breathtaking and we were delighted with the room itself. The TV in the bathroom was a hit! Dinner in the bar restaurant was...

So glad we had the half price deal. Would have hated to pay £125 for so called deluxe room. Certainly wasn't what I would call deluxe. Not bad but not deluxe. Heard every word from the guests in room next door. Food disappointing. Haggis and mash tasted like pureed baby food. Cheeses were good but too cold and too meagre....

We booked a double room overnight stay as a special treat. The walls of the room were paper thin so we could hear the conversations next door. The room was cold on arrival. The furniture was very dated. The bed was two singles zipped together. The breakfast was extremely disappointing. There were dishes of luke warm food that had been...

Had an awful experience. It was very busy, not helped by fact tables taken up with Xmas decorations. Staff were indifferent at best. Soup came quick and was tasty but had a long wait for a panini. Dirty plates not cleared. The red cabbage coleslaw was toxic. Definitely containing something that was not fit for human consumption. When we advised...

I'm not sure what I'm missing here when looking at other reviews. We paid £125 for a 'cottage room'. Once we got our 2 suitcases in there was no room left to walk around, it was that cramped. The 'loch-side view' enabled us to see a sliver of it, a long way into the distance. We did though have a...

We had room 41 in one of the Cottages. It was large, with a little lounge with sofa and TV and the view on Loch Lomond. It was amazing. Breakfast was very good too. Location - Balmaha is about 25min drive to any point of interest, Balloch, Glengoyne Distillery, Woodland Experience. Conic Hill is within walking distance and it's a...

I Love Balmaha and the Oak Tree Inn. Stopped by plenty of times for a bite to eat but had the pleasure of staying here recently. Paid a bit extra for a Loch View Cottage and wasn't disappointed. Breakfast was lovely. Some amazing views just a short walk away!
