We booked at the last minute, but weren't aware that the rate quoted reflected the fact they they were busy with a local running event. We paid £115 for a double room B&B. Used a voucher to come here dinner bed and breakfast. The hotel itself is a bit dated but does the job. We got a nice welcome and went to our room had a lovely view over the river only thing was we had a baby and the heating wasn't on so room was cold and took a while to heat... More

Wonderful location with beautiful views Hotel clean and with roaring log fire in bar Dog friendly Staff in restaurant and bar very helpful Dinner menu has many lovely dishes on offer and reasonably priced

Lovely setting by the river, we had a twin with shower room at the front, on the small side but adequate for our needs. Stay for one night on a tour of the area. Huge car park and reception very helpful. Large public seating areas if you want to sit and read, although dont expect to use much wifi, it is very limited best place was in the conservatory. Lovely scenery, lovely food, hotel is more like hostel though these days. Stayed years ago in winter it was idealic , returned for anniversary to totally different run down hotel very disappointing , rooms are less than basic , wifi cuts in and out, even tv reception on basic channels cuts in and out, staff at check out never even... Lovely friendly hotel! Dogs welcome! Stayed in the annexe which was great for having a dog ! Rooms clean and fresh towels given! Breakfast was good plent to choose from! Staff very friendly and welcoming! Gave our dog its own drink in the bar! Will be back again

Had a short weekend away staying in the annexe of the Hotel as we had our Newfoundland dog all 175 pounds of him. the staff were really friendly and accommodating nothing was to much for them. breakfast was serve yourself and a hot breakfast as well and a good choice on both. We ate here two days ago, it was just after a wedding so dining room wasnt really set up properly, we did wait a few minutes for a table but after this the service was fantastic.
