It was a good place for camping in a tent. The only negative parts were the many midges which were not exterminating centrally in the camping or in the neighbourhood. Otherwise, the camping was very comfortable.

This pathetic creature (me, poor old female pensioner) arrived at the campsite after several days "wild camping" (a romantic name for living rough in a tent). I was in a sorry state, covered in midge bites and with squelching wet shoes. It was the end of the summer, and the rain was setting in in earnest. It wasn't so much...

Stayed here when returning home after a 2 month seakayak trip up the west coast of Scotland. Very helpful staff, thanks Mike, great to meet you. Great place to stay! Very clean and tidy, quiet spot and great location. Plenty of options of accommodation too.

I arrived after a very long day cycling through tough conditions. The accomodation was ok not cosy but ok. The drying room at other side of drive from the hostel it was absolutely throwing it down when I got there so would have got soaked taking stuff over. I have stayed in lots of hostels and was sad to leave...

We stayed at the hostel and spent one night while we were doing the West Highland Way. The Hostel has a huge kitchen and the rooms are quite charming. The staff wasn't really friendly, though. No food is being served but the town is only a 5 minutes walk away.

Excellent facility with loads of rooms, space and everything you need for a night stay. Spotlessly clean and excellent. Tyndrum itself is expensive and obviously skinning visitors to area in charging nearly double compared to test if Scotland outside Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Local chippy charged £21 for fish and chips, haggis and 2x bottle of coke. Bit embarrassing that fellow...

Stayed here in a camping cabin for one night together with a friend whilst walking the West Highland Way. The lady at the reception was quite grumpy, and only explained us the bare minimum. When we went in for more questions later a man told us it was all in our brochure, which we'd never gotten? So service is a...

We were a party of three, hiking the West Highland Way. We booked Tyndrum By The Way about two months before our hikes in order to secure our accomodation in the busy hiking season. Since we were doing the West Highland Way from North to South (started at Fort William) we had by then stayed at a number of hostels....

Nice quiet little campsite with clean and reasonably priced camping huts, nice showers and toilets, a good drying room and a nice little kitchen area as well as a roofed outside sitting area for you to enjoy your self-cooked meal in. The small shop at reception is surprisingly well stocked with all the essentials. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here...

This place is one of the best hostels I have stayed at in Scotland. The rooms are a bit small and there's not a lot of storage space, but they're comfortable and very clean (as is everything). Plenty of bathrooms, and a huge very well-equipped kitchen/lounge area. Everything is modern and the place is nice and warm.
