Great place to stop off whilst walking the WHW. Owner very friendly and helpful. Cabins nice and warm and bunk beds comfy! Good to have a kettle and microwave in there and a midge screen over one of the windows to allow you to get fresh air! Will be back ☺

I stayed here as a stop over on my way to Tiree for the ultra marathon. It's a very friendly, clean place and I stayed in a 4 bed room. £18 a night. Vey comfortable beds but I always take my own pillow when I can :-) Kitchen has everything you need and Kirsty (owner) will help you with anything...

On initial arrival, site & trekker/hobbit huts look lovely! Trekker hut internal basic & smelled musty. Microwave & kettle provided. No ensuite facilities, communal toilet/shower block a 2 minute walk away (not good during the night when cold & tired). Small basic shop on site where towels can be hired. Breakfast/eateries a 10 walk away on main road. If your...

I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us. The website does mention that the trekker huts do not have toilets and showers. The camping facilities are very close to the trekker huts. The very short walk into the village can be taken along the West Highland Way.

I'm not one for writing reviews but felt I had to comment on the great service and hospitality me and my mates received at this campsite. Myself and three friends were doing the West Highland Way over two days on mountain bikes and this was our overnight stop off. We took our overnight bags up the day before; clean clothes...

It was great to meet you, and it certainly was no trouble storing your bags. Hope to see you again in the near future, and with a bit of luck, you might get good weather again!

My partner and I stayed here in a private hostel room for one night. The hostel was very clean and well equipped. It was also nice a quiet and all the guests and staff were really friendly. It is close to the west highland way and amenities in Tyndrum. I would recommend the hostel rooms here and would visit again.

BTW provides some great grass areas to pitch a tent, Wigwams, hobbit huts, drying room, washing machine, dryer, showers etc. My partner surprised me with a stay in a hobbit hut on my birthday. This place was fully equipped. We have had a fridge, microwave, cooker, a TV and a comfortable matress to sleep on. Everything was clean. Only the...

Myself and a friend stayed in a Hobbit Hut at By The Way campsite, and we were really pleased we did. They are compact wee huts but really spacious inside, and included a kettle, a tv, plugs, a heater, wifi and a mini fridge. The beds were comfortable enough, a sleeping bag and pillow are required - they could fit...

They have a rule only allowing up to 2 man tents.. We found this out on arrival. My group of 6 walked from Inversnaid as part of the WHW. We were carrying two 3 man tents instead of all carrying individual tents. The campsite was empty on arrival and we were turned away because of our tents. (these were not...

I am sorry you were not able to stay with us. We have a "two man" tent policy because the site is not very big. We do encourage campers to book instead of just turning up, so that we can make them aware of this policy. I am pleased you were able to find somewhere else to camp.

Perfect location for walkers/cyclists/runners on the West Highland Way but also conveniently next to a train station. Stayed in a camping cabin as it is dog friendly - you bring your own sleeping bag and cooking utensils but you get a comfy bed in a cosy cabin with a heater (didn't need it - hurrah) for a very reasonable price....
