My wife and I visited this hotel on 15th Jan 2017 and we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is rated 4 star and definitely lives up to this rating. We arrived at around 4pm and we were quickly booked in to room 7 which was pleasant and clean. The only negative was the double bed was two singles pushed...

We had a wonderful 2 night stay with our dog. Nothing was too much trouble. The room (20) was spacious with a very comfortable large bed. We ate in the bar so that our dog could stay with us. The food and service were excellent though not cheap. We would happily recommend this hotel to anyone.

I visited here with a group for a Christmas party night, about 80 people attended. The food was good which can be difficult when producing en masse. They had a really cool little pop-up Apres ski style bar hidden away which was a nice surprise, especially in the Borders! The decor of the latter and the entrance/drinks area was really...

Visited for a meal on my Daughters 20th Birthday. Very welcoming. Service was good and the staff were friendly & attentive . We had walked past a few times on our adventures out with walking gear on as it looked a little bit more up market than a walkers pub . So this was our 1st visit.after a weeks staying...

Dined here with friends and had a lovely meal. Between us we had rabbit ,chicken & mozzarel, Steak pie and Fish and chips and all of us said how good it was. We have dined here before and will certainly be back again. There was 1 or2 party nights on but that did not slow down the service or the...

Overnight stay while travelling to Inverness, found the rooms to be large clean and quiet with a very very comfy bed, providing a great nights rest. Ate in the public bar area which has an inviting atmosphere and was busy which is always a good sign. Food was of a high quality well presented and tasty, more gastro than simply...

We visited the Buccleuch Arms for a family lunch last Saturday. The food was excellent and the staff were so attentive. One waitress in particular was so welcoming. I can't recommend this place highly enough. The food was delicious and very good value. We will be back.

The room we were given was one of their smallest - other rooms were much bigger. This may have been because I booked through booking.com - but I did this because it was cheaper than booking direct with the hotel. The walls did not have sound-proofing, and you could hear everything from next door. The bar prices were extortionate.

We visited for lunch recently and none of us had a bad lunch. The battered haddock was nice and crisp .. if a bit thick on batter - happily the fish appeared to be nicely cooked, The chips were fine to eat. .. the peas were neither mushy peas nor fresh garden peas to me but somewhere in between -...

Visited the Buccleuch recently as this crackin pub is halfway between me and my family in Scotland. We always visit here as the food is always tasty and staff are very welcoming. We arrived late for our reservation due to a traffic diversion, but this was no problem when we turned up and our table was waiting for us. Great...
