Booked an overnight for my partners birthday as he loved going to portpatrick as a child! The hotel was much more than we expected, very modern and cosy! The room was beautiful with fantastic views of the sea! We also had dinner in the new...More
The food at the hotel is always excellent and the setting is awesome, amazing views out to sea.
This visit was for takeaway pizza and we were not disappointed. Superb pizza for the pizza connoisseurs amongst you. The Carne pizza being my favourite.
5 of us walked up the hill from the harbour having checked out a coup,e of other places for lunch. One didn't offer much and one was too pricey for us. However, a hefty push of the wheelchair up the hill was rewarded by relatively...More
Just back from a great weekend at Mount Stewart. Food, drinks and accommodation were fast class. Service from booking to checking out felt personal, great attention to detail.
Beautiful terrace to the front of the hotel which we took full advantage of in the sunshine!...More

I suppose it depends on how limited is your mobility. The hotel is all stairs. It is also at the top of a steep rise from the harbour below. As far as I know there are no rooms on the ground floor, which is given over to a bar and the restaurant. When we stayed there, we were in the room at the very top of the house. Nice view, but quite a climb with suitcases. On the whole, unless you are confident with stairs, I would advise you to find another hotel, probably with ground floor accommodation or a lift. I am not sure that you will find such a place in Portpatrick, but I don't, of course, know them all.
