You wonder why you usually need to book a table at this restaurant - its in a wee quiet village in the back of beyond - but tables here are in demand ! That's partly what makes it so special - apart from the food of course ! Maggie (front of house) and her partner (the chef) run this wee...

Arisaig and coastline of white sand beaches and stunning views of the small isles is always a joy to experience. The Old Library Restaurant with Rooms provided a great place to relax and enjoy good food at a reasonable price. Expedia sold us a sea view room that was not available but Maggie and her team made up for our...

Really excellent food - most sourced from the local larder in the West Highlands and cooked with great imagination. Hospitality is impeccable with attentive staff and very relaxed atmosphere. We loved the scallops with orange and black pudding starters in particular..

We stayed here for one night and it was lovely. Lovely warm clean room with a fantastic shower. The Cullen Skink was the best I've ever had and the breakfast was just as good. The lady who looked after us was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Does what it says on the tin, not pretentious in any way.

Came up on the train on a dreach weekend. Our room was cozy and spotless. Maggie was very welcoming and went out of her way to make sure our stay went well, and the food was fantastic. Even managed some lovely walks in the mornings and a mooch around the shops and cafes of mallaig. Great second hand book selection...

We stayed there for one night on the way to catch a ferry the next morning. Our host was very welcoming. The room was very spacious. We drove there in a very strong wind/rain storm. The drying racks helped us a lot. We also had to leave early the next morning, so they offered us a bag lunch for each...

The Stevenson Tour of the highlands of Scotland with our westie dog Angus continued to Mallaig. If you see previous posts you will realise how let down we were by the so called dog friendly statements in Scotland. However I made the best mistake in my life when I booked this hotel thinking it was in Mallaig, it's not ,...

We stopped here for lunch 2 years ago and it was fantastic! So good, that although we were in a hotel a Mallaig for the night, we drove back here for dinner. Our memories were that good we decided to stay for the final night of our 25th wedding anniversary celebration this August.. Oh dear. We Booked a room at...
