Stopped here around 6pm looking for a bed for the night, and found it utterly delightful. Wish we'd stayed longer. The setting is idyllic and internally the blazing fires added to the charm. We had a standard room, but it was very clean, well furnished and had everything we needed including good wifi. The staff were incredible. All of them...

Our family (2 adults, 1 child) stayed for one night earlier this month and wish we could have stayed longer. The castle was just lovely and was perfectly situated away from the bustle of traffic. The staff was just incredible and they were very attentive and helpful. We had drinks in one of the lounges in the evening. We hiked...

The location and hotel are beautiful. The rooms have been thoughtfully decorated, both bedrooms and public rooms. You feel as though you have gone back in time, but with all the mod cons. The staff were friendly professional and very helpful. We found the food was superb, with wonderful attention to detail, and the service in the dining room was...

Stopped for lunch and ate in the library. The food was nothing to write home about but the location is beautiful right alongside the Loch and the gardens are nice. Worth a visit but don't expect too much.

We arrived a bit spent from a long hard day of driving. The rooms included dinner (there was nothing within a reasonable radius). The service was pleasant and efficient for dinner. The rooms were highly quirky. To go from our bed to the bath required going down a half flight of stairs. We had a great view of the nearby...

Honestly, I was blown away by the beauty of the interiors in this place. I don't think their photos really do justice to the subtleties of the interior design. In the photos the reception carpet looks too vivid - in reality the colour is strong, but balanced by the wood panels and scale of the entrance. Ditto any of the...

Our first stay at the Hotel and we were not disappointed. Beautiful inside as well as out. A lovely Scottish welcolme, lovely breakfast and dinner. Thank you to the McCallums for letting us stay and the excellent service, provided by all of the staff.

This is not Scottish baronial luxury, but is good value and well run. The grounds are excellent. Food OK and staff very friendly and efficient. They welcome dogs. Our room, one of the cheaper ones, was small but had an up-to-date bathroom.

Dave and I come here every year without fail and have been doing so for the past 20 years. Either we come as a couple or with friends or I travel alone with my mother. Donald and his staff are so friendly that the hotel feels like an extension of our family home yet all of them are extremely professional...
