We were encouraged to take extra food to have throughout the day, amenities were always clean. The staff was fairly knowledgeable about surrounding area and...More
Though the hotel isn't in downtown, it is just a short drive away. The rideshares are just $6.20 to most places in the city. I general felt the area around the hotel seemed safe, especially in the daytime. Nowhere in Memphis is recommended at night!...More

This hotel has a freshly (yellow) painted concrete disable ramp about 3-4 feet long at the main entrance that is VERY SLICK when it rains. The hotel did NOT use any of the commonly used materials (sand?) to improve traction on a large painted surface....More

We stayed for 3 nights to visit Memphis for the first time. The hotel isn’t really located downtown, but it is ~1-mile away from Beale St. It is in a safe location, whereas many areas downtown are not so safe. The staff were especially friendly...More

I don't recall exactly how far it is....maybe 15 minutes by car or so. Not far, but not exactly close either. If Graceland is your primary destination, there are plenty of hotels very near Elvis, including a new one right on the Graceland property in the new visitor center. The mid town/medical center HI is fairly centrally located if you are taking in all the sights, however....Civil Rights Museum, Sun Studios, Beale Street, the Pyramid....lots to do in Memphis.
