I think sometimes that Plas Curig is turning into my home from home! Superb place to stay for walking in northern Snowdonia. Very well equipped for a hostel and extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. To top it all there's a very good restaurant and cafe practically on the doorstep. Wonderful!

Our hillwalking group of 7 stayed 5 nights. We found that the hostel had been kept to a very good standard since we were there 3 years ago. It has good facilities - showers, drying room, kitchen etc. Staff were friendly & helpful. Cafe, pub/restaurants short walking distances. Good location for walking in Snowdonia.

A great couple of days staying at Plas Curig for road cycling. Hostel was absolutely great friendly staff, excellent facilities ..... especially the beds and bathrooms. Cosy decor and great sitting and dining areas. Photos on the website! Nothing sold there so it's necessary to take everything with you (or buy locally) but the website makes this clear. Betws y...

We love youth hosteling and over the last 10 years have seen great developments in YHA but this privately run hostel outstrips them all. Fantastic interior design and a warm welcoming atmosphere means this will definitely be one we return to and recommend to friends. Very clean and appealing with comfy beds and excellent let catering facilities. If there was...

Clean, well equipped hostel in a good location with a cosy feel. The lady behind reception was an absolute star- so friendly and helpful. This little gem is the perfect place for those on a budget who don't want to lower their standards. The hostel is very well maintained and very clean. The standards and amount of shower and WC facilities was ideal. We've stayed in hostels before where the shared facilities left a lot to be desired, both in number and in hygiene,...

Fantastic staff helped us out with all of our problems (none of which were with the hostel!) Cafe next door does massive slices of cake! Check sherpa bus times before relying on them! The bunk beds were very comfortable and we appreciated all of the charging sockets.

Kind and helpful staff who were flexible when I wasn't sure when I needed room for another night. WiFi, kitchen facilities and showers were excellent. Rooms included a power socket for every bed, so no problem charging smartphones or tablets. This is a great place to base yourself for Snowdonia walks.
