Had a one night stay at Plas Dinas, every thing was perfect, very relaxing and friendly atmosphere, stayed in the Mount room, every thing was to a very high standard and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent . So much variety, lounge was very comfortable and a lovely log fire. Would definitely stay again.

I've stayed at Plas Dinas previously & was initially concerned to hear that Neil & Marco were away. However, despite my (very) late reservation, Paula went out of her way to provide a warm welcome and arrange dinner at short notice. The attention to detail and customer care throughout was outstanding. Well done to Paula and all the staff for... More

My Husband and I stayed for 3 nights in November, we had the "Mount" Room. The Room was lovely, beautifully decorated and clearly a great deal of time and effort had been put into creating a warm luxurious space. The mini bar was full, there was every type of Tea/Coffee and hot chocolate you could want. Toiletries were Molton Brown... More

Brought a friend from the US to experience his first taste of Wales. We only had one night but we were not disappointed. A warm welcome was received with a lovely, comfortable room. We were introduced to Fern, temporary canine resident and looked after by her owner (and her lovely slippers). The room (South) had everything we needed and more.... More

A mini break in amazing surroundings, service was fab as was breakfast and dinner. Could have done with the shower supplies being replenished, but a very relaxing place to stay if you can handle all the dogs!!! Did have a few hairy moments but nothing I won't recover from!

Please Dinas is a real retreat, not far from the main road. Paula welcomed us, making us feel very relaxed, showing us to our superb, very individual room ' mount ' Having read all the information we had booked dinner, as I have a seafood allergy we had mentioned this and were graciously accommodated, excellent dinner, generous portions. Breakfast was... More

On arrival ay 7.30pm reception was deserted I pressed the buzzer as instructed and a minute later a very enthusiastic lady greeted me telling me she would be looking after me tonight. I asked where the restaurant was as I travelled 4 hours to get there as was hungry. I was informed that the restaurant only served a set menu... More

Neil and Marco ... B, Owner at Plas Dinas Country House, responded to this review

Thank you for review. May I ask that if you are going to "bang on" about me, that you first get my name correct? It's Neil, not Nick. This is clearly indicated as such on all the correspondence you clearly didn't read. Firstly we are a Country House. No where do we claim to be a full-service hotel. Had you... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Beautiful things fill Lord Snowdon’s historic family home, Marco's cooking hits the spot and the ten, en-suite bedrooms offer wifi and luxurious Molton Brown amenities. This is the family home of Lord Snowdon. It dates to the 1600s and stands in 15 acres with an avenue of oak that sweeps you up to the house. Princess Margaret stayed often and much of what fills the house belongs to the family: stunning chandeliers, oils by the score, gilt-framed mirrors – an Aladdin's cave of beautiful things. There's a baby grand piano in the drawing room, where you find smart wood floors, an honesty bar and a fire that roars, but potter about the house and find masses of memorabilia framed on the walls (make sure you visit the private dining room). Bedrooms are quite something, the past mixing gracefully with modern design. Nothing is left to chance, a constant programme of refurbishment sees to that. You get four-posters, classic colours, sumptuous fabrics, a sofa if there's room. Bathrooms are excellent, some with showers, others with free-standing baths. ... more   less
