Just come back from a weekend here and got to say I can see why everyone has given it 5 stars. The views were amazing. Clean rooms. Olwen the owner was really helpful with places to go visit and eat. The breakfast was one of the best we've had. Fresh smoothies. Orange juice. Toast and creamy scrambled egg. Croissants. Home...

My husband and I recently stayed two nights with Olwen at Tyddyn Mawr. Our stay was amazing. Olwen is such a warm, lovely hostess. The room was a delight. Very large and spacious. A stay at Tyddyn Mawr is a must if you are visiting the area.

Tyddyn Mawr is a wonderful place and Olwen the perfect hostess. The position under Cader Idris is absolutely stunning, the rooms are the best and you could not wish for greater hospitality. Breakfast is a feast of home made delights. We have just come back from a second visit and look forward to going again later in the year. It...

Looking through the visitors book, it's not surprising how many people keep returning to this beautiful B&B. This third visit was just the same as the previous visits, how can you improve on perfection? Olwen is a wonderful host and an even better cook, breakfast is a feast, mostly local or Olwen's own delicious food. Glorious views, lovely farmhouse, always...

This was our third visit to Olwen's lovely B&B. The setting at the foot of Cadair Idris is stunning and there are many walks that can be done within minutes of the front door. Getting through the breakfast is as challenging as hiking up Cadair but it does mean you can skip lunch. The food is mainly homemade or locally...

We had a wonderful time at Tyddyn Mawr Farmhouse, besides the beautiful scenery, it's a very cozy and clean house, and the hospitality of Olwen was exceptional during the 4 days we stayed. We had a full delicious breakfast every morning, with home made fresh goodies. Also in the evenings Olwen surprised us with tea and home made pastries. The...

We stayed for 3 nights & had the most relaxing break ever even though we walked more than 30 miles during our stay. From the moment we arrived we were shown the most beautiful room with the most spectacular views. Olwen was the most wonderful hostess & after seeing our room we were offered tea & cakes & then shown...

My wife and I stayed at Tyddyn Mawr Farmhouse for one night on Friday 10th March 2017. The farmhouse is set a stones throw away from Cader Idris mountain in south Snowdonia so if you're looking to climb Cader Idris or visit Cregennan Lakes (Llynnau Cregeggan) then this is the perfect place to stay. However, the farmhouse is also a...

Tyddyn Mawr has got to be one of the best farmhouse B&Bs ever. We arrived very late on Friday in the wake of Storm Doris and it was cold, windy and very wet. As Tyddyn Mawr is up on the lower slopes of Cader Idris we couldn’t begin to imagine getting warm - so we were in for a lovely...
